Unable to activate the card

Tried so many times to activate my card but after putting everything every single details in the end its showing error, when i chose to activate through their chat helpline but after many attempts unable to activate the card , its got into my nerve to much headache for activation

Can’t register device

I can’t do anything with this app because I need an OTP. It keeps trying to send it to a phone number that I don’t have access to anymore. When I have tried to register this device as a trusted device, there is no Banner to boost security. I don’t know if it vanished in a recent update, but I can’t do anything with the app.

The app is terrible

The app is not responsive at all. You have to click many times before you can select a new category. It crashes while chatting with support. I can’t believe it’s possible to have such a terrible and outdated app in 2026 for a large bank. Mahreq should definitely find new developers.

Can't log in and customer service didn't respond

I try to log in and suddenly my face scan doesn' work.So the app log out and asking me for username and psw.I put it and it was showing that the detailed that i provided could not validated and try again.Imagine,even i try to rest the psw or user name with my card number.It's showing the same.That mean i can't log in with my username and psw or even i want to reset, app doesn't allow me.I try to cotact customer serview from messenger and by phone as well.They said they r working on that issue and they want me to be patient.Since on that time til now nothing update any info yet.Now i can't use the app ald 6 days.I try to call them directly and i can only talk by automatic operator only.For sure after i log in the app.i'm gonna deactivat the app.

About 15 years behind the times

Coming from another country (expat living in the UAE) I find Mashreq’s app difficult, cumbersome and best described as very basic, bordering on the primitive. Examples: No search whatsoever - if you want to find a transaction, you’re only option is to browse through your transactions, one by one. No transaction details either - you get a long, impossible to read transaction string that hides the merchant name somewhere in the middle in between a bunch of internal codes and that’s it. Card functionality is 2005 level - you can set the daily limit and that’s it - no virtual cards or any functionality beyond the most badic, nothing one would expect in 2026. UI and UX are primitive. I guess Mashreq never bothered to check out Revolut or any other decent online bank offering because if they did, they would see that Mashreq is light years behind them.
