Needs to be better

I hate to knock on somebody’s work, but this might be the worst app for any medical facility that I’ve ever used. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve gone through a scheduling of an appointment and after a good five or six screens, it pops up oh, you can’t do that from the app. if you can’t schedule every appointment from the application, it is useless. And don’t get me started about your messaging system through the app. I think at this point you’re better off cutting your losses and just pay for a service like my chart.

I phone not new enough

My I phone is not new enough therefore I get stuck in a loop to upgrade my app. Worthless unless I buy a new phone.

App doesn’t work

Signs in but nothing loads.

Lack Luster

This app is pretty awful. Crashes, not intuitive, and is down for updates weekly.
Want to get records to download for a provider outside Mayo Clinic? Good luck. It’s buried and when you do ask it to download one appointments records (I.e. labs) it will save a 200+ page “summary” that includes face sheets and your entire chart.
Oh you want to make changes to your communication preferences? That’s 4 clicks to get to a list of sub menus. Then each sub menu has an expand of more sub menus. This would be easily fixed by giving the ability to expand at a top level.
Mayo Clinic is ranked #1 but their app designers aren’t held to the same standard it seems.

Appointment Alerts Not Working

This is a good app.

However, it does not notify when an appointment has been added, changed or removed. The settings are all turned on, but the notifications are not being received by email, text or push.

Needs Improvement

Cannot schedule appointments with App. Negates from app functionality.

“Full Access”

Why on earth does the app suddenly need full calendar access to add appointments? Add events only is all the permission the app has ever had and all anyone should be comfortable providing. It is a wild invasion of privacy to require full access.

Not working

I can login but no features work once I login. I’ve tried deleting and redownloading. Nothing fixes it. I hope they update the app soon.

stop this double authentication nonsense!

if you want to send me a message send it by email. Don't make me log into the portal and especially don't make me use double authentication when I log into the portal. This whole system is a complete waste of time.

“Connectivity Problem”

Made an account and can’t even log in because there’s always a “connectivity problem”. I have strong internet and data so that shouldn’t be an issue. Garbage app.

Doesn’t work

App will not load.

Best I’ve Used

From an administrative perspective, Mayo really nails it. This is what a patient portal is supposed to do.

The app make it easy to access all the information you need as a patient: appointments, pre-checkin, messages, prescriptions, etc.

The screen layouts are simple and easy to read as well, which makes the overall user experience less stressful — no searching around for what you need.

Of course, none of this would matter if the Mayo staff weren’t responsive and highly professional; fortunately they are.

Danger to motion sensitive people!!

I now have to go to the website because I cannot change the motion and my iPhone options are already changed to be reduced, but the app now has its own demons

Turning off earlier appointments notifications

Turning off earlier appointments notifications is not readily apparent even though it says that it is!

It’s a solid app - but…

I don’t know where to report bugs.

I used the app to get a detailed bill and it was very fast! However, the message told me to find the report in “statements and letters” (I’m unsure about the statements part - but sure about letters. )

And I cannot find where the report ended up.

There are some other confusing aspects of the interface. I do not send many medical messages, but 3 of them were left in draft mode after I tapped send. I will now wait a longer time before leaving the send screen .. even though I’m not rushing through the process.

Horrible communication
You should be ashamed of yourself

Frequent app updates, that then requires password again

Every time the app is updated (which is frequently), I have to put in my login and password again, instead of using the Face ID that I had already configured from the previous version. It’s inconvenient and annoying.

Inoperable

Nothing works. I can’t get pages to load, everything comes up with an error, despite deleting and reloading several times.
