Lack of support
I wrote twice begging for help, with no response.
Site is wickedly difficult.
I still don’t know how to cancel order or remove items.
I probably won’t use Mealeo again.

Ordering
The Mealeo app has added too many ways to try and put payments in. The verification process is ridiculous.

Horrible app and very hard to order good. Doesn’t accept certain cards and is extremely fustrating🤬
Could not delete item
I accidentally ordered the same thing twice. There was no way in the app to delete the extra item.
Horrible delivery personnel
The left our hot pizza on on porch in 20 degree weather without letting us know it was delivered.
Poor app and worse service
Here’s my review of the Mealeo app:
Pro’s
- can order food
Con’s
- poor app design (hitting search changes location; options often missing or fixed into making unnecessary options)
- no live tracking or text updates
- high fees and service charges (almost $20-$30 extra for delivery + tip) on top of price increases vs. restaurant pricing
- everything is always an hour+ for delivery
- can not get refunds easily for incorrect or missing items
- customer service is email only
- “moolah” rewards are minuscule

Glitchy App; Great Service
App makes it impossible to delete items out of cart.
I had to delete the entire app to start over several times to just delete items. Should t be this way.

These Folks Rock!
Mealeo is our go to food delivery app, strong on stability, reliability and features. Love the latest version, lots of info easily available about your options for each restaurant. Lots of payment options and rewards too!
App is to expensive
Service is decent but the fees have gotten to high. 16-18 dollar pizza costs more than double that to get delivered.
Totally Broken
I used to use this app multiple times a week and now it doesn’t even open even after uninstalling and reinstalling it. Screw the flashy animations and just get back to what you did best.
Horrible coding
The oops you gotta reset your password keeps popping up even though I am signed in. Who on earth coded this!?
And when I tried to reset password, OK remained disabled.
And when I clicked to dismiss the password oops dialog, I ended up accidentally pressing 30% tip button.
This was a very frustrating experience.

No Food No Refund No Response
I used this ‘local’ app once 10 days ago. No food came. No refund was given. NO ONE HAS EVEN BOTHERED TO RESPOND OR REACH OUT AFTER SEVERAL REQUESTS. Since Sept 4th!!!!!!

They treat their employees like garbage.
That’s it. That’s the review. They can’t keep track of their own shifts and punish people for their own system’s mistakes and auto-remove them for 24 hours or more. Do better Mealeo.
Great Food Ordering App!
I’ve used this a few times for just pickup orders but it’s pretty flawless. The interface is very simple to order and puts many many local favorite local restaurants at your fingertips. Not to mention I just found out about “Moolah!” their rewards program which gives you cash back on orders.

OK App, Terrible Business Model
Usually use apps like this to order from restaurants for pickup yet I am still paying a 10% fee on items? Get lost. I was pretty frustrated at first thinking restaurants in my area were jacking up the prices but it turns out it was the thieves in this app. If I was using the delivery service, sure okay fine but I'm ordering for pick up.

Great delivery but at a cost
I give the app two stars for that many reasons: the app is locally owned and uses local drivers, and it supports local business. However, that’s really all I can offer. I used Mealeo relatively commonly during the summer of 2022 and it wasn’t that bad. You can always expect to pay a premium for delivery - that’s the nature of the beast - but it’s become ludicrous. Now, deliveries have a service fee, a delivery fee, and auto-gratuity. I started up an order for Herbie’s Burgers in Albany, which I live right down the block from. My order total for the restaurant itself was $13.50 (double burger plus fries) but skyrocketed to $25 after all the Mealeo fees were applied while checking out. This is, unfortunately, what the app has become. It’s good for being a catering service to larger dinners with family and friends where the fees can be split among the group, but it’s laughably priced for delivering to individual patrons. I understand businesses are struggling to make a profit in the world of inflation we’re all experiencing, but when the act of delivery costs more than a full order then something is going on. Here’s hoping some changes happen because I genuinely would like to support a local app but not like this.

Great app for supporting local restaurants
I love using this app to support local restaurants. I’ve never had any problems with any orders or deliveries. Customer service is great and proactive. One time I placed an order for a restaurant that wasn’t actually able to deliver that afternoon and promptly got a call directly from Mealeo explaining the situation and refunded my money.
