Useless app
Why did anyone in Medstar bother creating a useless app? I still have to the web site to view my records or any information of interest. What an utter waste of time. Do not install this.
MedStar is the worst and this app is too
MedStar makes it impossible to contact your doctor directly. You cannot message, email or call the doctor or their staff. Instead, all communication gets routed to middle level staff who are overwhelmed, don’t have access to necessary information and ultimately fail to relay communication in an effective or efficient way. It’s a failed process with the worst user experience you can imagine for a hospital system this large. I’ve been trying to call and message my primary care doctor for a week and nothing in return. Can’t even ask a question about prescriptions that weren’t sent. It’s unbelievable an organization that has this much money is so dysfunctional and fails its patients so royally.

Terrible Integration
This app doesn’t naturally integrate with my existing account. It wouldn’t take my existing credentials. I was forced to create another account that is tied to nothing. There is no history. I have click a link that takes me to the mobile version of the website to login, gain access to my account, and perform any functions. The app is useless in this format.

Unable to login using the patient portal option
I can login on the website for the patient portal but when using the option in the app, I get a blank page and doesn’t login.
Terrible design
Different passwords for billing and the app, terrible integration, locking out of the billing after iPhone tries to use the stored password
