Absolutely terrible to use. So frustrating; still we try

Transaction security

Tried to use Apple Pay and immediately had my card charged over $2000 for a Turo car rental.

Too bad it won’t open

Useless

The app is obviously essential but is very poorly designed.

The app is obviously essential but is very poorly designed. Every tool involved simply leads to the web page and, with all the construction occurring, it is difficult to find which stops are actually being stopped at as they are not identified. There isn’t, as far as I can tell, any intuitive way to determine if a stop is or is not in use at the moment because of the construction so one is simply expected to walk to a stop not knowing whether or not they can board there. The tools (ie Trip Planner and NexTrip) are terrible to navigate on mobile because they are webpages and not actual tools. Terrible app but I have no other choice but to use it.

Won’t let me create an account

The app wont let me create an account. It keeps saying my password has to be at least 20 characters and the ones I’ve tried have more than that. I even tried deleting the app and downloading it again. Nope. Useless.

Works great

I was hesitant to use this app based on the low review score, but I’ve never encountered any issues. Works flawlessly, especially with Apple Pay, and is way more convenient than buying physical tickets at the kiosks

No issues here

Worked great. Paid using Apple Pay for my light rail fare without any issues

Mid.

There are zero in-app features aside from ticketing. All tools like the trip planner and bus schedules STILL direct you to the website years later. I do appreciate that I can buy a ticket with Apple Pay now, but even that is a little tedious when buying a ticket last minute. I can’t believe I’m giving 2 stars.. The bar is so low.

Horrible.

Lawsuit is about to be filed on Metro Transit if they do not fix the payment system in Big lake, MN and fix the app to allow payment with GO2 card for those with disabilities. They’ve got 10 days from the 6th of August to conform to the ADA and allow people with disabilities to use their Go2 card as a payment option on the app or risk getting sued for making life harder for those with disabilities to use their card issued by the county

Perfect App for Visiting MSP

Spent the weekend visiting the Twin Cities. This app was great for buying tickets on Metro Transit. App supports Apple Pay and you can buy multiple tickets for everyone in the group. Very easy to display tickets during a fare inspection on METRO lines and to show driver on local bus routes.

Love the App

Not sure why there’s no love for this App. It was super easy to use and was a game changer in traveling between Target Field, downtown and the airport. Highly recommend.

Can’t get past the signup screen

The app doesn’t allow me to create an account after entering email and password. Great quality control folks.

THIS APP WONT LET ME PAY FOR TICKETS

How am I supposed to get on the bus when the app refuses to work!!!

Add a prompt

For first time users, add a prompt to buy a ticket in order to enter and save a debit or credit card to the app.

6 months of use no issues

2025-05-17: An essential for living in the Minneapolis Metro.

It works. You purchase ticket, you redeem ticket when you ride.

It takes Apple Pay or you can enter a credit card.

Once you’re setup, faster to use than the ticket kiosks and easier to refill than the go cards.

Makes riding the light rail a breeze.

Just use Transit App or the website

This app is ok for buying fares, but every other feature redirects you to the metro transit website. It would be nice if the trip planner, Nextrip, and schedules were integrated into this app instead.

Metro Transit Doesn't work for MTA buses in NY

On internet it mentioned that ut does work with MTA buses. However, the bus driver strictly said that it will not and I had to got off the bus right away

Function

App does not work and has not worked in weeks

App does not work

For weeks now, and seemingly similarly to others’ experiences, I have not been able to get the app to open past the initial loading screen. The first time it happened I had no cash on me and was nearly stranded in -20 degree weather miles from home. I was luckier than some other reviewers and the bus driver was kind enough to let me board but given some of our extreme weather conditions this seems like a dangerous bug that needs to be fixed.
