Literally broken
Just like with the United app, these idiots have broken what worked great before. App Home Screen now asks you to sign in, which launches a web page that after you log in just takes you to your My United screen, and not the MileagePlus X app. Going back to the app Home Screen prompts you to sign in again. Endless loop of fail.

Impossible to buy Giftcards and customer support is not existent
As many others have already alluded to, it is impossible to buy giftcards. EVERY single transaction is declined regardless of what CC I use.
Silly me trying to reach out to their customer support, I sent several messages thru their portal over a month ago. Not even an acknowledgement of receipt, a black hole. I would expect at the very minimum a confirmation email or a trouble ticket number, what about an escalation path.
Anyways, United is losing trust of a 1k customer. Transfering status to delta does not sound that crazy now.

Cannot Purchase Gift Cards
The system often doesn’t work. You wanna buy a gift card for instance, and it will not process your gift card and it doesn’t give you a reason. It just says contact customer support. If your credit card or debit card expires, it doesn’t allow you to delete that credit card card from the file so it’s always perpetually on their system. Customer support doesn’t respond to your messages. If they do respond, it’s very cursory. The app before the upgrade about a year ago used to work really well. I used it all the time. Enjoy getting the points. And now it consistently doesn’t work. I’m not sure if it’s better if you sign up with Southwest or some other Airline but a century it’s the same model maybe their supports better there.

App Doesn’t Work
Cannot make purchases with points. It’s one of the fundamental uses for the app. It’s been down for a great deal of time.
Fraud prevention is too strict
