₹99 Membership Yet ₹15 Extra Charge – Poor Customer Service & Lack of Transparency
Very disappointed with MilkBasket’s customer service and the introduction of the ₹15 Small Cart Charge.
I am already paying ₹100 per month for the membership, so charging an additional ₹15 as a small cart fee when the cart value is less than ₹99 is not acceptable. For a small ₹20 milk packet, paying a monthly membership fee and then an additional ₹15 delivery charge makes very little sense.
The main issue is not the ₹15 itself, but the lack of proper communication and the way the concern was handled by customer support. After paying for a membership, customers naturally expect reasonable delivery benefits and transparent communication about any additional charges.
The response from customer support was also very disappointing and did not reflect good customer service. This kind of approach makes customers feel taken for granted and seriously affects trust.
Because of this experience, I have decided to move away from the app, especially since there are now several other options available. Moreover, many products on MilkBasket are already priced higher compared to the market, making these additional charges even more difficult to justify.
Overall, a very disappointing customer experience.

Negative Feedback – MilkBasket App
I’m extremely disappointed with my experience with the MilkBasket app and feel that customers should be made fully aware of these practices.
Their executives repeatedly came to my doorstep, insisting that I download the app and recharge the wallet, while promoting various offers and claiming that customers could get significant benefits. However, my actual experience was completely different.
The “free milk” coupon/offer does not appear to work as advertised. Despite making multiple purchases, the app continued to show that I needed to shop for another ₹99 to unlock the free milk offer. This makes the offer feel misleading and unnecessarily frustrating.
I also noticed issues with the pricing and discount presentation. After adding multiple products, the app showed additional costs without a clear and proper price breakdown. Then, after applying the so-called discounts, the final payable amount appeared to be roughly the actual product value, making the advertised discounts seem questionable.
Customers deserve transparent pricing, genuine offers, and clear terms and conditions, not aggressive doorstep promotion followed by confusing offers and pricing.
I am sharing my experience publicly on LinkedIn and X so that other customers can be aware and make informed decisions. I sincerely hope MilkBasket reviews these practices, provides transparent pricing, and ensures that its promotional offers actually work as advertised.
Please investigate and address this issue rather than misleading customers with attractive offers that don’t appear to provide the promised benefits.

Small cart charges - how Milk basket cheats
I have been using this application for more than a year and suddenly without any prior intimation or notification they are charging 15 Rs daily as small cart charges for any order which is less than 99 Rupees but such charges never existed before and moreover this completely goes against the operating model of milk basket because as the name of the application itself is Milk basket, most of the customers use it for placing milk orders and that definitely falls below the 99 Rupees bracket and charging a customer so much for delivering milk daily in addition to the monthly membership fees which is also collected is just ridiculous but the worst is applying charges on a customers wallet which he had trusted and recharged each time without his consent is just illegal and not at all acceptable, this just amounts to cheating customers!

⭐️ 1 Star — Hidden charges and poor customer handling
I had a milk subscription with MilkBasket and used it purely as a subscription service. Once the subscription was set up, I had no reason to regularly open the app and check notifications.
MilkBasket apparently introduced a ₹15/cart “small cart fee” and says they notified customers through an in-app notification, starting the charges just two days later. I was never given a meaningful opportunity to understand or opt out of this new charge.
The bigger issue is their customer service. After noticing the charges, I contacted them expecting the incorrectly/poorly communicated charges to be reversed or at least credited back to my wallet. They simply refused to refund or provide any wallet credit.
This is not how a subscription business should treat its customers. If you’re changing the pricing structure for an existing subscription, especially by adding a daily fee, customers deserve clear, prominent communication and a reasonable transition period, not a notification buried in an app that customers don’t need to open every day.
I was a paying, subscribed customer. Charging ₹15 every day and then refusing any adjustment when the change wasn’t reasonably communicated is extremely disappointing.
MilkBasket should seriously reconsider both this pricing practice and how it handles existing subscribers.
