Needs fixing

I recorded some video and now I can’t get to it because it’s been stuck on “Finding hub to connect to…”. I’ve closed the app twice and every time I open it, it goes back to the same screen. Do I need to be connected to the hub to view the video? I thought it would save the video in the app.

Great on iPad, not on iPhone

I’ve tried it on 3 different phones with all permissions allowed. Won’t work. I can connect but get no visuals, I can see past recording but again, no visuals. Please work on this because I can’t fix this on my end

Bad update

Not letting me connect to camera

Awful product

I really feel taken advantage of. With the cost of the camera you would think that it would at least have an app that was functional, but having to restart the app 3 to 4 times to get the camera connected works sometimes, but most of the time you have to pull the battery out of camera to trick the machine into sending a warning notification, then it finally connects. Complete garbage

Multiple Issues

We have 2 cameras and run them off our iphones and ipads. I dont get the same options as the manual shows when using the wireless monitor. I can obviously zoom in and out and pan once im zoomed. In the zoomed out position i cant pan vert or horiz. It would be nice to pan vert/horiz when fully zoomed out. I also cant seem to digure out how to rotate. I dont have the option on my display interface.

Also the milwaukee locator has largely been a disappointment. I typically run it on 512. Any bit of underground interference (water line, gas line, etc) throws the locator into a frenzy. I try to adjust frequency with no success.

Connecting to the camera lags too…

Software updates for the locator would be nice.

Sewer inspection cctv

If using app for reports on I-phone. This app is terrible. Can’t seems to do anything. Super buggy and really frustrating. Can’t pause or slide through video at all. Recommend thumb drive or upload on computer and avoid using mobile devices.

Connecting to iOS

So with all my equipment updated and being on the current iso updates I have to turn on airplane mode and keep wifi and Bluetooth on to get video feed from the control hub? Come on this is silly my ridged cameras connect flawlessly with out any of those steps

Please fix this issue Milwaukee is hate to miss an important phone call while preforming a camera inspection

App is not compatible with IPhone

I have an iPhone 13 Pro and the latest version of the app. When connected, the screen remains black and nothing functions on the app. It’s like I downloaded a still image. Disappointing.

However, the app functions just fine on android devices.

App is not working

The camera is amazing but the app is not working I run the camera with android perfect but trying use my tablet and never start recording stop in loading the hud forever even when said it’s is connected already ! I’m so disappointed

App is lacking

App does not have the same functionality as the monitor. Just unboxed my camera and started checking it out with the app. I’ve been on the fence about buying the monitor. I looked to pan and zoom with the app and no can do. Milwaukee should Include in the owners manual instructions on how the app works. Or at least a link to the latest updated version. Looks like I’m buying the monitor…

New to Milwaukee

I have ran Rigid for years, this was a learning curve. Our company didn’t purchase any of the monitors, since I already had a iPad they asked if I could use it. The camera we started off with is the smallest line you can go. It say 1-1/2”, I’ll explain 1-1/2”. ABS , PVC, & cast iron ( no body uses C.I.). Are the only one it will go down in. 1-1/2” DWV, will not make it around a 90. The picture is very high quantity. The locator works very well also. The foot counter, well that needs more attention from the manufacturer. The real doesn’t like to turn when you pull on the optic line, I have to move the reel with my other hand so the counter works.

As of right now, Milwaukee doesn’t make a real small camera, so that will be bought through Rigid. The next purchase will be the stiff optic cable by Milwaukee. I read one of the reviews and it said that you couldn’t pause from the screen. I can pause on the screen of my iPad, so it looks like they fixed that issue. I would highly recommend Milwaukee cameras.

Software update 5 on Mac

Have spoken with Milwaukee Techs and Geek Squad Tech and neither have been able to help me update this camera via Mac. The Mac doesn’t want to unzip the unsupported file. When I format my usb to fat 32 and finally got the download on the usb plugged the usb to the control hub. Click settings then system update the control hub now says “system update no upgrade file found”.

Pipeline iOS App Audio Recording Issues

Love the pipeline inspection system and I’m super excited y’all are committed to providing periodic over-the-air updates. The pause button was crucial!

Hopefully you guys can address the audio issue that happens when you export the video on iPhone and iPad. When the clip is exported, the audio recordings are moved to the front of the video and don’t match up with the correct spot in the video recording.

I’ve been using Ridgid cameras for a long time and have recently started using the Milwaukee 120’ camera and absolutely love the simplicity and the line trace feature. I do have 2 issues….
1, not being able to pause and resume recording makes for either long videos that I have to store and/or send to my clients, or spend more time in the field locating areas then recording video to mitigate the size of files.
2, The video editing (trimming) only lets you edit once and it only saves the portion you trim. It would be much better if you could do multiple edits and maybe save those edits as separate files so you can still resort back to the original full videos if needed.
I know the product is newer and still evolving, but until it is on par with the competition when it comes to those features we will invest in another and more than likely go back to using the Ridgid cameras.

Hi Joe, thank you for your feedback! Be sure to download the latest Hub firmware version 1.4.0.3 from milwaukeetool.com. This not only introduces Pause Mid-Recording but other improvements including Over the Air updates which allow us to continue to optimize the program.

Doesn’t connect all time.

Recently purchased this inspection camera. The vast majority of the time the app cannot connect to the camera hub. I get a purple or black screen and no picture. Even though it says your connected to the hub. This is not a reliable way to use the camera.

Things need to be added and changed

Been running cameras for a very long time. This camera is great except for the fact you can’t pause and resume the recording while you have to go do locates. Since you can’t pause the video I’m having to give people their video inspectons sometimes with a recording that’s 20 minutes long. I know you can cut part of the video but that brings be to my second problem with this. You can only cut the video one time. And it’s backward. What you “cut” is what actually stays on the video and everything else is deleted. If you have multiple petals in the pipe that need to be located and you have to locate than all the recording ends up being almost an hour long and you can only cut the video one time. Being able to pause and resume the recording while your doing your inspection like ridgids cameras do that would make everyone’s life a lot easier. Please consider this and update your stuff so we camera guys can pause the recording while locating. You might also get a lot more business with people purchasing more of your cameras if you add this to the app/ monitor. I’ve talked to many many people and just because you can’t pause the video is what keeps them buying ridgids cameras. So I highly suggest you fix this problem.

Does Not Include All Features

I recently (Aug ‘21) purchased the 200’ Milwaukee Pipeline Inspection Camera. I did not purchase the monitor because I understood that the unit can be controlled through this app. However, it appears that the app does not include all the features of the monitor. For instance, I am not able to pan or zoom the camera. Milwaukee please update this app andI will gladly update this review.
