You can’t pay street vendors
It’s so hard to find someone in Thailand that actually has a business account. Majority of the locals only have a personal prompt pay.

It’s truly been so convenient and no hassles and accepted at 99% of the places I’ve done business with. I’m grateful for this app.
Be very wary
I am physically in Brazil right now trying to use this app to pay via PIX. Just when I need it most, while I am physically in a foreign country, the app fails and then they lock my account. To all Americans, I strongly discourage using this service!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is not accepted as payment in Thailand as they stated. I tried using this several times even at large businesses and it still was not accepted. Now I am trying to figure out how to get my money back that was loaded up. Do not use!!! If I could leave 0 reviews I would. Just withdraw cash from atm at one time or bring Your countries currency and exchange it at an exchange company. When you arrive in Phuket there are hundreds of exchange booths at the airport.

Poor Results
The app simply does not work as advertised in Thailand. Its completely unusable
Beyond useless.Bad exchange rate and high fees
Update: I put money on here in spite of my reservations. Almost every time I try to use it, it ends up being a personal QR and therefore useless. Even places that look like they should have a business QR code are actually personal. Until this is enabled for personal QR there is no point to the app. You will need cash.
The exchange rate is significantly lower than the current mid market rate so you lose money on that. Then you have to pay 1.5% for each transaction!?! That will add up fast. Better to get a bank card with no foreign transaction fees and withdraw enough cash so you rarely have to go to an atm and pay more fees.

Slow Verication even with secure Plaid
So, they verify with plaid, which is secure. but they still want a bank statement on top of that, has been SEVERAL days3+ and still not verified. Do they stall to make fees off credit card fees?
The best app for travelling
I’m travelling around Vietnam and use it every day. It's by far the easiest and most convenient way to pay at local shops
Too much fees
You’ll pay fees by filling your Moreta account AND paying. I had to do 3 transfers to have the correct amount…Don’t use the app
A failed payment
I paid in Mongolia but vendor kept telling me the payment didn’t go through. In the end I paid w card. Contacted support but no response.
Frustrating
Annoying that it’s all based around USD when I want to transfer a specific amount of VND it only lets a transfer done in USD so then I have an odd amount of VND which is unusable
There’s no support
If they restrict your access to your own account there’s no support I’ve been waiting days now for support to connect with me over a issue and still nothing I live abroad and use Moreta pay for daily living and for paying rent etc and I couldn’t do anything for 2 days I will be looking for a alternative app

Bad Customer service
I have transferred my money, but I couldn’t use it in the app. Contacted Customer Service for 2 months and got nothing back. I couldn’t withdraw my money either.

I deposited funds from my bank, the transfer did not go through, so I tried again , this time the transfer did go through, but my bank account was debited twice, I immediately contacted my bank who told me it was to late to stop first transfer, when I contacted Moreta I was told I would be contacted by relevant department to investigate, 5 days later still waiting to hear from them. They have £600 of my money and I don’t know if I will ever get it back

Paying 2.5% to put money in from a debit card is crazy and then to charge money on top of that?? But it works well and very fast so I do appreciate it!
