Absolute joke

Thanks for absolutely destroying what little great reputation your original scale built you.

Most absof’unglutly infuriating graphical app to use. Designed and named by absolutely braindead meat bags

Suggestion

Good app and product, but suggestion: Can we add a "quarterly" and "half year" tab to the trends?

Would be cool thanks.

Terrible!!

This app is terrible. I regret purchasing this scale. I am a long time Renpho customer. I am unable to log in due to forgetting password. Your app does not send the reset email. It’s obvious this is a chronic issue with your app due to the fact that this is the first thing listed on the help tab. Your help tab does not in fact provide any HELP. It is open text fields. In the website all reference to the app is the Repho Health app however the scale I purchased requires this MorphoScan app. This is confusing and highly inefficient. Do not recommend!

Inaccurate

Measurements are grossly inaccurate and unfair. You need to let people manually edit data when it’s blatantly wrong.

Not the usual standard from RENPHO

Also reached out for support using the in app help function and it’s been several days with no response

Apps okay

The reason for the low rating is the scale and the app are great for the owner account, but any other family members that use this scale will only get weight and BMI. My almost 10 year old RENPHO scale did better than that. Will probably return this nice scale for one that works for the entire family. Shame they did this. A scale is normally used by many people in a house, not just 1 person

Response from developer

Dear user, We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused. To ensure the device captures all necessary data, here are a few steps you can follow: 1. Start with clean, dry feet to establish a good connection with the scale's sensors. 2. Place your bare feet evenly on the four electrodes located on the scale's surface. 3. Grasp the handle, touching the four electrode contacts with your fingers, to create a circuit. 4. Gently lift the handle to the suggested height and stand still while the measurement is in progress. If these steps do not resolve the issue, applying a small amount of moisturizer to your feet can improve sensor contact. Alternatively, you might enlist the help of another person to use the scale to determine if the issue is specific to individual use. Please do contact us through support@renpho.com if you have further questions or concern. Best regards, Customer Service Team

Jumbled layout. Not showing accurate percentages.

Used my scale for the first time. The icons overlap the percentages shown for each limb on the body so it’s hard to read. Also, all the percentages were showing well over 100% which seems way off to me. My Renpho morphoscan was fully charged when I received it. I stored it and waited a few weeks to take my first measurement but it states battery low. It was not used so I’m not sure how the battery died that quickly. Overall it seems like a glitchy app and the product does not function properly or hold a charge. This is upsetting.

Outdated App

Since apple made updates the app has lost love, please either update app or allow these scales connect with the main app?

Doesn’t Show Trend for Skeletal Muscle Mass

I don’t find tracking the percentage of skeletal muscle helpful as the percentage changes with weight which fluctuates 2-3lbs regularly. I would much prefer to track the trend of skeletal muscle mass in lbs.

Hi customer, thank you for your feedback. The BIA bio-electric measurement is closely related to several parameters, including body impedance coefficient, height, weight, age, and gender. Therefore, changes in weight can affect the other data. Regarding your suggestion, we will forward it to our technical department for consideration and improvement. Sincerely, Customer Service Team

Might be a bug

Hard to see metrics because the layout is jumbled and they overlap each other x

Revised after developer reply

Disappointed that after upgrading from my ES-20M scale I was unable to import over six months of usage history. Developers will discuss feasibility of adding that feature.

Note that the weight of the handset adds from .4# to .8# to the total weight reading depending on the amount of tension on the retractable cable.

Overall, the scale appears to work well and reports various metrics with assumed reasonable accuracy at a price well below a doctor’s office scale.

Dear valued customer, thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We apologize for any inconvenience caused. If you wish to track your history for the ES-CS20M scale, we recommend using the Renpho Health app, as the two scales require different apps. Unfortunately, the app currently does not have the feature to export the data. However, we will forward this to our technical department to explore the possibility of implementing this feature in the future. Thank you for your patience and understanding. Sincerely, Customer Service Team.

Disappointed

that after upgrading from my ES-20M scale I was unable to import over six months of usage history. Also disappointed that there is no longer an “athletic” mode. Finally, I am a 74yo 59” male. A target weight of 148.5# seems ridiculously low unless I was a 15yo marathon runner. I suspect that a coder or team of coders didn’t successfully cross link height, sex, and age in the data set. I will try deleting the app and reinstalling to see if that resolves the issue as I’m not the only user.
Be aware that software release 1.01.01 is essentially betaware. “Ship it, then Fixit”??

Terrible App

I have owned a Renpho scale for years and that scale and associated app have been rock solid. However MorphoScan has been nothing but trouble since I got it. It rarely connects so I end up losing reading. There is no way to manually pair the scale like any other Bluetooth device. You need to follow whatever convoluted way the app wants you to connect. Also in the app there are loads of UI errors such as overlapping UI elements such as percentages for each limb which overlap with other text making it unreadable. There is no way this app should have been released in this state

Decent but app is flawed

The machine seems to be relatively accurate for a bathroom scale, providing information similar to other devices. They’re never perfect and our bodies fluctuate on a daily basis so it’s more about trends than exact day to day.
I do question some of the indicator analysis, as I don’t think Wikipedia is an appropriate source to receive health information. For example, body water % should not be ranked as ‘excellent’ but instead low, standard, and high. Additionally, 51% is not considered high, for my age and body composition, in any academic journal. While it may be an accurate, the analysis is not. The analysis needs to be adjusted against high quality data.

Not an accurate scale

Don’t waste your money, it’s not an accurate scale!!! It might show you on the weight ok, but everything else it is not accurate.

Response from developer

Dear customer, thank you for your feedback and we apologize for any inconvenience caused. Please be advised that our scales utilize bio-electrical impedance analysis (BIA) technology to provide you with accurate data. The BIA bio-electric measurement is closely related to various parameters, including body impedance coefficient, height, weight, age, gender, and Athlete Mode status. Great tool

I’ve been on a fitness journey for about 15 months, first losing around 30 pounds of fat and now focusing on building muscle. During that time, I’d been periodically using an InBody machine at a clinic to monitor my progress. I find that this machine produces similar results, and it is so much more convenient.

The app itself is pretty great with a lot of data. You can also create dynamic graphs, which is awesome. The reports it generates are full of info and very cool.

One thing it is sorely missing is that there isn’t a skeletal muscle graph for easy tracking. Knocking off one start for that as I imagine many people like myself would be using this to monitor muscle growth against fat accumulation during bulking. Developers, if you read this, please add skeletal muscle to the graphs and any data comparisons.

Tracking

I like the scale and the App, gives some cool information, but I don’t know how accurate it is. For example, in the past two days I have gained 2.6 lbs, but lost .4% body water, .4% muscle, and my BMI increased. I know it’s impossible to gain that much Fat in two days. The reason I bought the scale was to be able to see when I was retaining water vs fat loss. Without this working correctly, it’s just a scale the keeps my weight for me.
