App is super slow…
App used to work great, but after the last few updates, it has gotten really slow.
That user interface change was when i noticed it tanking. I would go to search my custom entries, and the thing literally chugs. Type one letter in the search bar, freeze, and type another letter, freeze, etc. and you sot there watching the whole list of food trying to dynamically update as you type.
I hate the fact it seems to be connected to a global user database, filled with all kinds of useless stuff that isn’t even entered accurately. That’s why i enter all the food I eat myself for my own personal list, cause I don’t want to see, or have to sort through everyone’s stuff to find mine. The app seriously needs an offline mode, so you can search your own food and ignore everyone else’s junk good entries.
Even scrolling through my list of food instead of typing is slow AF now, and the app just sucks.

No barcode scanner and won’t take pic of nutrition labels.
This is not worth the $35 per year they want for “pro”. Food database is pathetic and it’s very difficult to enter and track food manually so can’t really assess the benefits of the program. Also the pro subscription price for a year is listed as $20/year in the App Store, not the &35 they ask for in the app. Of course the App Store listing has several yearly subscription prices which I find extremely disingenuous. I am deleting this and sorry I wasted my time trying it out.
Addendum: when I went to delete it there was an option to scan for food. I don’t understand why they wouldn’t give access to it directly in the app, it instead you have to shut is down and hold it long enough to see other options. Pretty convoluted and adds an extra unnecessary step, butt to I will give it another chance. Not changing my review or rating yet aa I haven’t had time to fully evaluate it but if I see that it’s worth the trouble I’ll come back and change my review.

Great app
I’ve tried all the macro apps and this one’s my favorite. Able to find all the foods I’ve searched for. Barcode scanners great.
Superior.
This app is amazing for tracking macros. I love using it for tracking my own cooking as well as most restaurant meals. I have used this app for a bikini comp, building muscle, gaining weight for pregnancies, and now to trim back down some during my motherhood years. Through all stages, this app has been far superior to the competition. Bought the app almost 10 years ago and have reaped all the rewards and benefited from all the updates.

Food choices are limited even with global choices turned on. Even common basic foods fail to come up. Worst food tracking app ever
Pretty good, update makes it slow
I’ve been using MM+ for two years. It was hard to get the hang of it until I subscribed to a nutrition coach with another company who gave me tips that made it a lot easier.
The latest free updates had made it not smooth. It’s very laggy as each individual letter causes the search to go nuts. Very annoying. I’m looking for a new app.

Great Tool
I have been using this tool for almost 4 years. It’s reliable and resourceful. Takes a little getting used to when starting, but they are continuously updating and adding features. Customer service is amazing. I got a new phone and thought I lost all of my data—sent an email and had it all restored within 24 hours.

Cancelled, yet still charged.
I cancelled this app, yet just got notified of a charge. Went to my Apple subscriptions - nope. Cancelled. Please refund my money.
Solid app with excellent support
Great app for tracking, especially once you’ve got your recipes and regular items added. Excellent support team with quick, personal response when a new phone appeared to lose my data. Also love that many basic ingredients are already entered (fruits and vegetables)
Game changer
MM+ has been a game changer for my health journey. Logging foods is simple with MM+. I started using the app to bring awareness to what and how much I was eating. Once I had that information, I then began making changes in order to achieve my health goals (lose fat, build & maintain muscle - yes strength training is also a component). My favorite features of MM+ are being able to copy meals or even entire days (repeat eat, here!) and access to”recent” foods quickly.

Long Term User
Hello everyone. I’ve used this app for years now, and I reccomend it to everyone. It’s easy to innput meals. Most entries have tons of accurate weights/calories to choose from. The app is updated often. Only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because there is a “premium “ version. The app costs money, so we shouldn’t have to pay again to access all the features.

It’s just OK
I want to like this, but ugh. It doesn’t sync even when you force a sync. So if I log on another device or the website, nothing makes it onto the app. There should also be a better way to search for foods I eat regularly. Daily I log a specific creamer…and daily I have to go through my recent foods to find it. Why can’t I just search and find it? Which brings me to the search function, as a whole it rarely finds what I’m looking for. Even when I search for things I manually added. Overall, there are too many options to bother using one that lacks so much functionality and intuitive behavior.
Update: I wrote this review on 4/15/2025. They responded today, 6/11/2026 and suggested I contact customer support for help with my issues. No thanks, think I’ll just move on like I did 14 months ago. Lowering rating from 3 to 1 stars.

Scam
I cancelled my subscription (through Apple) in 2024 and I am still being charged monthly. Subscription no longer shows up on Apple, and unable to cancel my subscription through the My Macros website. They are a scam.
Helping me reach my goals
I love Mymacros+. Now that I have added the foods I eat regularly into the custom journal, it is very easy to track my food. With the support of this app, I've really learned how to eat and feed my body what it needs to be healthy. I love all the features. I've completed my first bulk and cut with the help of mymacros+.
