I can’t use the app because it won’t let me select the $9.99 subscription. It will let me do the six month and the 12 month subscription though, but I don’t want to do that. I want to see if I like it first. I don’t know if this is the apps way of up selling, but it stinks.
When the app actually works it’s great. However I have an active subscription, the app even tells me I have an active subscription but won’t let me past the “please review the subscription options!” page that opens with the app.
Every 6 months when my subscription renews the app gets stuck in the review subscription screen- deleting and reloading doesn’t fix the problem. So I have to send a message to get it fixed. Aggravating- as it’s been going on for a few years now and I get locked out for at least a few days at a time. I like the app otherwise- it keeps me on track- but it would hugely benefit from a setting that acknowledges terrain and trail running.

Have the same issue as others. Paid $65 dollars for a subscription but am stuck on subscription screen and can’t open app.
This is a clunky and poor app, but they also make it impossible to cancel when you do the “free” trial so effectively are thieves too!
As others has said looks a great app, but after entering your details it then wants you to subscribe to a monthly fee which in my opinion is too expensive. If the app worked as described then I would be happy to pay a higher fee for the app but not subscribe to ongoing costs.
I used my run plan for 2 years, renewed my subscription, it took my $65 dollars and deleted my account. Now I’ve lost two years of running data and my money
This app has not been working for me for about two weeks now, I’ve contacted them on Facebook with my reply. The issue I’m having is that it asks me what payment plan I want, when I select monthly which I’ve already paid for it confirms I have that plan but never loads and will crash. Can anyone help??!

App is free but to actually get plans you need to buy a subscription. It also doesn’t tell you this until you have filled all your details out.
Really wanted to try this app, but wouldn’t even let me create am account... sigh...
I have used this app non-stop for a year straight and now it’s useless.
I have used this app for 4 runs now and the app has shut down during 3 of them losing all of my progress. Time to find something else.
I have used this app for a year and had a good experience, but when it auto renewed I suddenly could not open it anymore- keeps showing me a page with ‘subscription options’ then telling me ‘you have already subscribed ‘ when I select the option. I tried contacting the maker and no response, but they already got my money for the second year. Tried deleting and redownloading app and no dice.

This app looked like something I’d like to try. However, when using it for the first time, it prompted me to register. I do so, and successfully logged in. When I try to set up a plan, I’m given a choice to logging in or registering a new account. No matter what I pick, it takes me to register a new account, which I can’t do because it tells me my email is already taken. If I try to login using the credentials that I signed up with (that worked the first time I used them) it tries to register me as a new user again.

I haven’t loved this app - doesn’t feel like it was made for runners who are just starting their training. Rather than coaching / calling out exercises along the way, it dumps all of the instructions on you at once, expecting you to guess your own distances. Once you’re familiar with the exercises & rhythms it gets better, but wasn’t effective coaching for me.

This app is great at creating an effective training plan for me. However, there are some things about the app that I do not like. I do not sync my Fitbit with it because if you use the Fitbit and the app to track your run, it logs it as 2 separate runs. If I just use the Fitbit to track the run, then I don’t get the app’s feedback while I’m running. The problem with using the app to track my run is that I have to start it on the phone, which is fine for a training run, but not ideal during a race. So, my current frustration is that I’m trying to enter my race manually, but I am unable to enter it as a race because that is not an option. I would love to see a fix for this or get some feedback on how to do this. If this were not an issue, I would have given a 5 star rating.

Love this app!!
This app is great! I love that you can put in your marathon and the date and it creates a plan for you. Effortless.
Too many technical issues: I had to contact the team for help when it would not let me enter a rest period. And when it was scheduling a 5 mile long run in prep for a half marathon (that was the longest run in the plan 3 weeks leading up to the race). That’s a recipe for injury. The interface takes months to get used to and figure out certain features- like entering your test instead of assuming you rested bc nothing was entered. Also, the spin dials for entering time are annoying. Why can’t I just type in my time? It would be faster. Not sure my plan is built for an increased speed since the times do not change on projected race time.

I love the idea behind this app but it is poorly executed. Runners World needs to reach out to some of the users of this app and make some changes.
