Terrible support
I have had this app for 5 years. Recently it stopped working telling me there was something wrong with my solar panels. So I had someone come out and check the system over and it is working perfectly. The app continues to say there is a problem despite deleting and reloading the app. I have emailed for support multiple times but zero response from the company. So now I have an app that doesn’t work.

Complicated. No help.
Could not get this to work. Technical to set up. No consumption data even after consent provided. Basic dashboard data available in other Apps for free. No direct help available. FAQ’s not helpful. No email help unless technical questions answered.
Dead end
App was great until I went in to view a recent bill. Now I cannot return to the dashboard and I’m stuck at a blank purple screen.
No customer service
Solar analytics can be helpful and provide a good service. However, if you end up changing to a plan that seems to be incompatible with the algorithm then is essentially useless. The whole premise is that it’s supposed to help you save money so if it can’t track your plan then what the point, I might as well use the analytic system that comes with the inverter. But what worst of all is that they will never respond to your customer service requests. I’ve sent them countless messages over the last 6 months for support and haven’t received one reply. Avoid.

Good when the system works
This app is good when the system works. However my unit has had a communication issue for two months which has rendered the app useless. I have Solar Analytics almost two months ago with no response and followed up with them. While not relevant to the app, I would like to warn anyone who was sold a lifetime subscription. Mine has only lasted 3 years.

The app is down more than it is up. Contacting support is a complete waste of time, they simply do not respond. There are many other much better apps available.

Don’t bother
Had numerous issues with the app couldn’t use the trial period as it wouldn’t display the correct plan for my retailer so the information I wanted wasn’t able to get . I explained this over the course over a month and told would be looked into nothing changed and now they want money to continue using it.

Useless
Don’t waste your money subscribing I am just about to finish a one month “trial” and this app has not provided any more data than the good we sems app provides. I reached out to technical support several times but just got the reponse that they were swamped - this app is nothing more than smoke and mirrors smeared with snake oil and not even worth spending one cent on

Potentially great if it worked
This app has the potential to be amazing if it would communicate with the system!
After multiple emails they are blaming my reception and advised to buy an additional antenna. System worked great for 2 years then these problems started when the 3G network started shutting down and the company won’t update their systems. Sometimes they say they make SIM adjustment but it doesnt make a difference. Terrible support and they take no responsibility. Waste of money and time

Outdated layout
Needs a full make over app dosent even touch the edges of my screen most of the graphs you can’t exactly pin point a time you just have to keep pressing the graph until you get close enough

Rubbish!
When connected to the PV system and battery via an OEM arrangement, this application does not know the difference between mWh and kWh. The reports generated have no resemblance to the true output of the PV system and create fictionalised data. This is the worst energy visualisation app I have ever used.

Not being updated
The app interface looks old and that’s because it is. There has been no version updates since it was released, including no privacy statement which all apps must now have. The app also doesn’t display correctly on newer iPhones as a result.
Some user interface issues
I have used this for a couple of years. It is good, or rather exceptional, in explaining energy use with solar panels. However the user interface is increasingly unreliable. The home screen is frequently not the one I have set up. Why is this occurring now? The battery forecast tool is useful, but predicts on current usage patterns only.

Worst communication over ever come across
After contacting this company multiple times with very little communication in return.
Many phone calls with no return call
Email enquiry submitted with automated generated message returned I emailed back with no response. Extremely poor in my opinion.

A few things missing but overall a good system
I’ve been using the My Solar app for 3 weeks and it gives more info than the app for my inverter and is more accurate when I compare it to my electricity daily charges, however there are a few improvement required before I can give it 5 stars.
1) There are no kW values in the graphs on the phone app. The PC app has them so I can’t see why the phone app doesn’t. If some don’t like them you could install a toggle to turn them on an off in the settings.
2) The live monitor in my Sungrow inverter app (even though it only updates every 5 mins) gives a better representation of production, usage and export then the My Solar. A quick look the visual representation gives you a complete overview of what it’s doing. Combining a similar representation into your own would be a great step forward.
3) The phone/iPad and PC apps don’t auto refresh the graphs automatically. I have the app open on my iPad on the kitchen bench all the time and you need to refresh the screen manually to get the graphs to update, the live monitor updates periodically but the graphs don’t. A 5 minute automatic graph update would be ideal.
4) I like to have a look at the Savings screen and see what it is doing to my bill throughout the day. On the PC I can select the From and To date to the same date but the phone app won’t allow you to do this. Can this be changed so you can select a single date on the phone app.
5) On the performance page the gage at the top doesn’t change when you select different date ranges. Minor I know but this should be reflective of the date range selected.
6) Would be good to be able to customize the graphs, change a bar graph to line etc. The Sungrow app allows you to customize a graph and save it as a template for ongoing use.
7) There are alerts for some things like underperformance but would be good to be able to have some more from an information perspective. For example production exceeds X, production drops below X, between X and X hours. Consumption exceeds X. These could be toggled on or off for those that do or don’t want to see them.
8) Can push notifications be added for any alerts?
9) The monthly report is a bit of a pain to have to request and receive a link in the email even though it comes through straight away. Why can’t this be displayed and downloaded from the PC app?
10) Integration with the inverter. This would be a hard one as there a multitude of different inverters. I can chose different things to monitor in my inverter app like system temperature, output from the strings and lots of others. All in one app would be perfect.

For others like myself, we want to know more, this is the reason I purchased the hardware and app, I hope you will take the above into consideration in the next update.

Great app, but...
Only had the app for a few hours. If I click the menu and select Energy Plans I can’t go to any other menu item afterwards. Yellow bar stays on Energy Plan even if selecting something else. Screen stays on EP. Only way to get back to Dashboard or any other menu item is to log out and log in again, or delete and re-install app. Slightly frustrating!🥴 I think I’m better off using the website.

Brilliant app with a little room for improvement
I love using this app to understand our solar panels’ performance and shift our energy consumption accordingly.
After just two weeks of using it there is one big annoyance - the y axis of the graphs isn’t labelled so I can only tell what the bars represent by clicking somewhere (and it’s hard to click exactly where you want to) and calculating it from there.
It would also be great if you could zoom in on the graph to look at a particular timeframe in more detail.

Fantastic Energy Insights
Already since using this service I’ve been able to identify some of my more energy hungry items around the home thanks to the instant usage insights.
Great service and highly recommended.
I would like to ask if there is any updates to the app coming to support the larger phones from Apple? The screen looks ok but doesn’t take full advantage of the iPhone X and above.

Hopeless
Tried multiple times to log in but just keeps returning to log in page. I’ve reset password three times. What a waste of my precious time!
