Good Seal, LOL

What constitutes a “good seal”? Every mask I try leaks like crazy, waking me up through the night. Yet the apps says “good seal”?

The Dashboard

The app and interface is smooth for me. But why is the scoring so heavily placed on the amount of time using the device. 70% of the score is this while only 5% is on the sleep apnea score.
My suggestion would be lower the usage score to 50% and raise the apnea score more to 25%. And change the calculation of the apnea score. 0-2 is perfect25%. 2-5 gets 20%, etc.
The overall usage is important but should be as high as it is in my opinion.
Also what people want is not just an overall apnea score but how many apneas each hour of the night were seen. A sliding timeline.
This would be insightful. Much easier to correlate a restless night at the time of using the app versus later downloading the SD readings into Oscar.

New HIPAA Consent

Do not sign the new HIPAA consent. They want to use you personal health information data for marketing and whatever else. This was a good app before that.

Data Misuse

The latest update sneaks in an agreement that allows them to sell your data for profit. This is not made clear unless you read all of the HIPPA agreement that they present like they are trying to help you. They are helping themselves to profit off of you.

Now they want to sell your sleep information

Declined the hippa agreement

UPDATE: Selling our PHI Now!

Latest app update (8.29.26) prompts users upon opening to agree to a “neat new way to share data!” HIPAA agreement. Read carefully in the mush of fine print; they are recording your health data to treat it as sellable consumer data. Do NOT agree!

Falls short if you have 2 devices

App is clunky in the it cannot handle one use with 2 machines (eg a machine in echo location) without the use signing out and then setting up a separate account with a separate email. Stupid. Also, it does not integrate with AirRes mini app.

Watch for dark patterns

They opened a HIPAA disclosure document right when I opened the app. It tried to get you to waive your HIPAA rights so they can sell your health data and use it to market to you. Dealing with the document was required in order to continue using the app (there was no way to dismiss it).

Because I couldn’t dismiss it, I thought I had to agree to it in order to continue using the app. So they tricked me into agreeing to it because, well, I need to use the app/my CPAP.

While the app technically functions well (hence the two-star rating), it’s manipulative and user-hostile.

App not good

App is not user friendly. I tried to register 3 times. My biggest problem was my birthday. It would not let me put it in. It only would give a calendar and I had to tap the calendar 50 plus times to get to 1953. If I did not fill it out All reverted back to blank. I was suppose to put my sleep incidents in. No idea. No clue. Please FIX.

Inaccurate AI assistant

The in-app assistant is useless, giving inaccurate advice referencing non-existent tabs and software options. I’m frustrated with the app, the device and the whole process. There’s no way to adjust settings that are incorrect. So now I have an expensive device that does not follow what was medically prescribed and there’s nothing I can do about it (despite what the in-app AI claims).

If I could give 0 stars I would

I really actually hate this app. The app never connects to my machine even after properly linking them. It always sends me an error message that it cannot be used at this time. The app is also hard to navigate. Each time I open to see my usage for the month I can never figure out where to find how many days of the month it’s been used to track for insurance. I’m constantly having issues with the machine itself working properly and the app is not helpful in troubleshooting the problem nor notifying me of what the problem actually is. The app serves nearly no purpose in my case.

App is “fine” but won’t share data

This would be MUCH better if the MyAir app would share its information with Apple Health. Instead Resmed seems to want to pull you only into their ecosystem, their AI, etc instead of giving you a choice of how to use your own medical information. Not 1 star as at least the app functions.

Additional access

Because the app ties in with our health tracking system on our iPhone why can’t we access it through our Apple Watch? It would save us reaching for our phone in the night if we have the need to access the data.

Awful

Does NOT share sleep data with Apple Health automatically. Enjoy having to transfer this information daily.

Still horrible for people living overseas

I’ve had my $1,800 Resmed 11 for about 9 months and for the life of me I can’t figure out who is in charge of the Myair app’s design. I have an Australia-made unit that I bought from an authorized vendor in Bangkok, Thailand. The app on my iPhone 17 stopped working so I contacted Resmed in the US and Aus and they said “we can’t help.” So, (again) I contacted the Resmed technicians in Bangkok. The latest advice is for me to change my Apple Store billing address to Thailand, and download the Myair from the Thai store. WHAT the heck!? Resmed is a global company, but the app is tied to a particular country App Store? What if Microsoft, Adobe, Trip.com locked their app registration against an Apple Store billing address? If I move to another country, I will have the same nonsense to deal with. I risk breaking the connection to my credit card company and all my Apple Store subscriptions if I change my billing address. This is crazy! Please, please, please make this app an accessible global app!

Too much “coaching”

I’ve been on a CPAp for 5+ years. I just want to see my history not all the other mostly useless info. Just give me my numbers.

The mask off count is always wrong. And is basically useless. Almost every night I put the mask on then immediately have to get up to turn a light off, take medicine or something. Definitely not an indication of my sleep. And it’s just wrong Put it on & had to get right back up. That shouldn’t count.

Get rid of all the excess from the main report.

Don’t ask me if I need coaching when I have a 77 day streak of using my machine. You could at least act like you see my data. I don’t need lectures & encouragement.

Refuses to recognize that the device is paired.

In order to use the app, it requires a pin from the machine. I selected the correct machine and entered the pin on the screen of my airsense 11 only for it to tell me I incorrectly entered the number.
I’m stuck in an endless loop never allowing me to use the app.
Not sure where the bug is but the app is useless to me.

Daily summary

Please include mask leaks L/pm instead of “good” etc in the day’s summary. Less clicks is better. Adding more stats would be a plus too.

If I could find a feedback form in the app I would have raised this a very long time ago. Looking at support options in the app, none were appropriate.

With other things in mind I was tempted to give 3 stars but appreciate the app for what it is.

Needs Dark Mode

Way better app than I expected, usually health-related apps are so bad. Just needs a Dark Mode.

Works but could use some improvements

I was trying to reach out to app support but none the pre-written questions are what I need. The app works pretty well most of the time and the design is clean and easy to use. I control everything from the app instead of the machine as the screen is small and sometimes hard to see. I have two app update requests that would like the developer to take under consideration. 1. Reminders to change filters and such should also appear in the app as they currently only appear on the machine’s screen and I barely look at that, so I had to set reminders in my phone’s calendar. The ability to edit these reminders from the app would also be great. 2. Have an option to have second set of settings pre-saved (humidity level and SmartStop would be my priority but others may like to customize more) where you can select the mode you like in the home screen. In my case, I need the humidity very high and this causes water droplets to accumulate in the tube; I’ve troubleshooted it and this the only setting that works for me. Due to this, every morning I have to turn off the SmartStop and the humidifier and run it for a few minutes so the tube dries well. This works for me, but it’s a pain to go back and forth changing the settings and I have sometimes forgotten to set back my humidity level and turn on the Autostop before I fall asleep and I can’t rest well like this. Could you please share these suggestions with the app developers? They would really enhance the experience with Resmed
