Glitchiest app as reliable as an app from the early 2000s

Honestly it’s so disappointing to have an app that works so poorly, especially when it’s really the only way of managing your own money. When you need to send a bill or add a new item to the budget you need to message the team at MB. To draft the message you often need to switch between apps - to get billing information such BPAY or bank account details or amounts. As soon as you switch apps and then come back to MB app it drops out, loses any information you’ve already typed out and you have to start again. It is pathetic, time consuming and probably worthy of a complaint to the Ombudsman considering MB is making it difficult for you to manage your own funds. Surely in 2025 customers deserve a more reliable app than this

Love the MyBudget app

I’ve tried all the budgeting apps, YNAB, WeMoney and more plus I’ve worked with several different spreadsheets that never really got me anywhere. The MyBudget app is so simple to use the most amazing thing about it is the service that sits behind it. My budget was created for me. I don’t have to actually do a thing. Everything is automated, but still supported by people! My bills are all paid on time and I’m not hanging for payday anymore. I don’t have to guess if I have enough money now. I can see 12 months ahead and if I ever need to make a change, I can do it from the app. If I do need to call, the team are always available and super friendly and helpful.

Please Fix Messaging

Generally passable app, however, messaging functionality is below par. In particular the lack of caching/saving messages as they are composed is a real UX problem. Having to completely re type a message because you jump out of the app for 5 seconds to check a reference number or answer a call etc is a messaging experience that no other app I’ve used inflicts upon its users.

Love the new updates!

Very easy to log on, see my upcoming budget activity and transfer money when I need - loving it!

Bare basics

The new app has nowhere near the same functionality. It is a step backwards. I will keep using the old app, hopefully you don’t remove it anytime soon. New app needs a lot more work before I am happy to start using it.

Nope

Really dislike the new app.
There is so much spare space that could be used to display additional information….all of my savings streams do not show their full information which leaves me having to go to the transfer screen to see what funds belong to which savings.
Please make the 3 boxes spread across the screen to the edges….there’s plenty of room.
I can see the potential but it’s such a miss at the moment.

Terrible update

This makes it so difficult compared to the original to see where funds are, upcoming activity, history…everything. The previous app was so much easier to use. For the amount of money we pay you, we expect an app that’s easily accessible. It needs to be fixed to look more like the original where everything is there to see.

Not usable

I can never sign in, since first log in. The biometrics don’t work and neither do username and password.

This isn’t a password issue as I can still use the old app and web login

Nicer UI but missing features

The user interface is much cleaner and less buggy than the old app, and I like the ability to search payments, but it’s missing important features. For example, I can’t see my 12 month budget; when making a transfer it doesn’t show how much is available to transfer; it’s unclear what payments are on hold and need to be confirmed; it’s unclear what the balance is at any point into the future; there’s no information on where I deposit funds into my MyBudget account; I can’t see my savings breakdown by type; income and expenses aren’t clearly differentiated. These are all really important functions and something I rely on. I’m not sure why this app was released without these features. I feel like I’m in less control of my money using this app, so I’m sticking to the old one until this one improves. If it doesn’t, I feel more inclined to look for a different budgeting service.

Not bad

I like the new look and transferring is easier.
I was keen to keep and deleted the old app straight away, however, I had to reinstall as the new app doesn’t have the ability to see your actual budget.

Hate it- deserves no stars at all

Hate the new app. Looks like a cheap beta version. Not only that it doesn’t appear to have all the same features as the original app.
