No camera view
I want to start with this…I LOVE THE SILVERADO EV RST!!! What a great, comfortable and capable vehicle! Just a thing or two to note for possible improvement; I have previously driven a Tesla Model Y. I am not in any way trying to compare these vehicles, as they are apples and oranges. However, there are some functions that GM has not…capitalized on. One of which is the camera view(s) for the My Chevy App as well as in the vehicle views. To the best of my knowledge, there is no way to access camera views in the app…why?? That is like telling a cattleman that you can secure and monitor his cows in the barn but he has no way to see for himself and that is what we humans like to do…SEE FOR OURSELVES. I know you did your research and I know that you also know that most everyone who has driven a Tesla LOVES that app function. Maybe it is because Chevrolet “doesn’t advocate” leaving “things” in the car…well like it or not, “things”get left in vehicles for a host of reasons and it would make the most sense to be able to utilize the cameras you put in there, as well as around the outside.
As far as the in vehicle views of the cameras, I have no idea what anyone was thinking when they set them up. Seriously! When are they supposed to show up for us to see??? Am I supposed to go into the settings and turn them on when I want to use them, while I am driving? Every mirror has a camera and when I put my turn signal on that camera should automatically come on…they don’t. I will give you a great example: I attempted to move into the R lane on the highway the other day and heard a honk. There was a car that I could not see because my R side view mirror was not adjusted properly. Also, there was no camera view. The car was sitting on my extreme R rear corner. How much more beneficial would it have been to have an automatic camera view down the side of the vehicle that would completely eliminate blind spots…no matter how the mirror is set?? Also, when you do go into settings and select side view, why are both side views together?? Put the top down/overhead view in the middle with the L side view on the left and the R side view on the right.
If there are settings that can be changed to make the camera views some on then I would appreciate learning how to change those settings.

Not so hot
This isn’t a great app. In fact it’s kind of annoying. My car hasn’t been plugged in hours yet it still shows a charge status from two days ago and that it’s charging! This has not happened two times in less than 2 weeks that I’ve owned the car. Not good enough GM

Can’t use the app
When I select the option to sign in, I get a blank screen. If I copy the address and use in chrome, it allows me to log on but then takes me back to the blank screen. I can’t use the app.

Inadequate Charging Options in Either App
The set hours of charging are disregarded by the set times in the Iphone or in-car app. Chevy failed to incorporate a priority selection of time vs percent charge setting. This oversight results in the car charging past the designated stop time, resulting in overcharges by the power company (saver plan) when you are charging at home. Very expensive. Therefore, I turn off the time feature altogether and manually pull the charge cord at exactly 12 noon.

I’ve uninstalled, logged back in, etc. My car is a lease so it’s not worth it to get this fixed before my lease is over in a few months. It should work without me having to reach out. Thank you.

Deceptive
Deceptive marketing around the features that are “standard” on the car you paid for. I shouldn’t need to activate onstar in order to access my charge level or remote start. I paid to have those features on my car, not to sign up for a subscription fee to use features my car has built in.
Chevrolet app
It’s a pretty good app, really convenient but the main issue I keep having is my mileage percentage keeps getting stuck on the same number for weeks.
Very rarely works on Silverado EV
App takes for ever to do anything, most of the time it errors out saying it can’t communicate with the vehicle. Doesn’t matter if I’m home, work, etc. Onstar told me to take to dealership. Dealership did vehicle wide programming and telematics update and still does the same thing. Was told by dealership that this is a common issue with the EV’s. Good thing it is included for 8 years because I’d never pay for this.

Been using this app for years, but something has happened. Vehicle status hasn’t updated for 6 months. Can’t verify mileage, tire pressure, fuel percentage anymore. Please fix whatever you broke!!

I’ve really enjoyed having this app accessible to me via my cell phones. It is very convenient, efficient, and easy to use. I love the alerts that are sent inform you about the status of your vehicle in real time as well as the accessibility to gain access without having your key fob if needed.
