Excellent app
Glo. Not impressed
After 7 1/2 years I needed to change the Zappi and decided to go for the glo. What a mistake all the information that myenergi provide about the glo state that the only thing that’s different is that it doesn’t have a screen & you can control everything from the app. This isn’t true lots of the controls, including stop. I’ve been taken off. It’s much more difficult to use and it’s a big disappointment.
3 years on. This is one of the best, most reliable & responsive apps I have. Logs on immediately when I open the app. No lag between iPad and iPhone. Just does what it claims. Brilliant! I have had the app for about 18 months now & can only say how very pleased I am with it. In the early days it had some teething problems but the excellent team at Myenergi were very helpful & sorted out all the issues. Highly recommended.
Unfortunately, the latest update has rendered the Eddi unusable. It sits there waiting for surplus but never jumps to action. Any chance of a replacement?

Not good
Charges from the house battery though I was told it wouldn’t. Doesn’t work well with E.on app. Poor customer service. Not recommended. And yes, you asked for this review.
Terrible app
Laborious and difficult to use. Deeply regretting buying this unit due to the problems with the app.
Underwhelming
Seems to be lacking some easy win features, like set a custom charge rate (not the same as a smart boost, which seems to run at max power and then tail off slowly). The charge history graph doesn’t update unless you navigate away and back again, and often seems inaccurate. And occasionally you have to re-pair your charger for no apparent reason. For a supposedly premium product I’m unimpressed.

Deleting products
I had a replacement Eddi fitted under warranty… the installer couldn’t get through to myenergi to delete original from account…I went online and found the “ delete” function… It said it may take 48 hours for the old eddi to be removed from the app but here we are 2 days after the 48hours…. Old eddi still showing on my app with strange charging behaviours on the zappi!

Unreliable
Design of the app is ok but it’s backend connection is hugely unreliable and hours spent taking to customer support over multiple calls rarely seems to resolve the issue. And on the rare occasion that it does, another problem just pops up in its place. Real shame.
Great app
Accurately defines where power is coming from and going to. Works well with a separate garage away from house using Harvi.

First EV home charger
Amazing app. I had know idea it came with a data logger so I could track all the main power movements between the grid, solar array and the EV - both live and weeks after. Highly recommend this system so you can see where the electrons are going at all times.
Just learning how to use…
Recently installed the app and I'm using it for the eddi and zappi glow.
I think many new users would appreciate detailed videos and text guides covering various situations.
Please correct the typo 'Tap below to take stop your zappi from charging' - how can an app be released without adequate proof reading?
Some of the other reviews are most discouraging, but I'm finding how to control and set the app little by little. This is where detailed slower videos are needed.

Complicated
Installed at the recommendation of the solar PV / battery team. I’m nearly a year in and still wrestling with it. The apps for the car, energy provider and Zappi fight each other for charging control unless you get the complicated settings exactly right. It took me about six months and countless tech-support calls. Just when I thought I was there, the router was changed necessitating reconnection. Absolute world of pain. Still not reconnected. May need an engineer visit. I really don’t like this charger.

Unreliable
Iv had this charger for 2 years now and every few months the scheduled charging fails. It always starts but then fails to stop meaning I wake up to massive bills as my car has continued to charge outwith my low cost tariff. The customer service is completely useless, the online support must be 100% Ai with no resolution ever offered.
I have tried every reset, uninstall, software update, wifi reconfiguration there is. Now I need to set my car batteries to a certain % charge so the car now stops the supply.
The issue with the charger means I don’t dare take one of the “intelligent” EV tariffs on offer.

Considering the tech this “should” be supporting, this app is appalling! To change charging schedules is a nightmare, no details on costs of charging despite supplier/ tariff details put in!

Looks pretty but designed poorly
If you just want to plug your car in or see where the energy from your panels are going it’s fine, but it’s little more than window dressing or as Alan Sugar would say ‘a mugs eyeful’. Try setting up a schedule that aligns with a complex energy tariff and then come back and review this app… unintuitive, overly complex and ultimately harder to program than it is in my Audi and i can’t think of a more damming thing to compare it to as Audi software is atrocious

Ghost Devices
Continually appearing ghost/unrecognised devices. Support have removed them though takes a few days each time. Appears they do not impact bills. However, on removing last ghost battery, continually exporting 6.2kW, my ability to export from Libbi was removed which means I am losing money from my ability to export. Have raised this three times and still not resolved.

YouTube video and images need updating
I installed the app yesterday when my Zappi EV charger was installed. The app seems to be excellent however setting it up was particularly tricky partly because the set up wizard is not up to date. First the images of the different Zappi charges did not match my Zappi and secondly, the YouTube video assumes there is a separate hub. In Australia with the current Zappi (ZAPPI-2H22TB - T) the ‘hub’ is not separate but an intrinsic part of the Zappi as I understand it. It does not need to be set up separately. I generally did not find the app set up to be at all user friendly. I figured it out in the end but it took a long time. I only took off one star, however, as the app is far more useful than the Zappi screen access to features
