Need to delete and reinstall app
The app seems to have trouble syncing between devices. I’m getting an “incorrect pin” message despite resetting it multiple times. The workaround is to delete the app from my phone and change password and pin again. This has happened on two seperate occasions now and would seem something that can be fixed on the app side rather than blaming it on my devices!

Love the recent update but room for improvement
Savings goals being added to the app is something I’ve been waiting for. Would be great to have a dark mode option and payment notifications for when money is credited/debited to account.
Unreliable
Unfortunately this app is very unreliable, numerous outages and when it’s recommended to use the the website it locks you out.
Poor management
Been with MyState for 8 years. Sick of system updates on Saturday nights, won’t let me into the app when I need to move money to buy things even on just the odd occasion, putting me in awkward situations. Seriously considering moving banks
Issue with character limits and account verification
The app is much improved. The account verification on new payments is great but with one problem. The character limit is too short to put in a full business name so in the verification process it doesn’t match up and warnings pop up. What would be very useful is if there was an option to adopt the correct name because the character limit doesn’t allow you to put in the full name, and when the message comes up that I could lose my funds if it wasn’t correct I’ve then abandoned the process and phoned the business instead.

New design was great when it worked.
Initially this was great but now i just get an error when I try to view my account details. If you were picking a bank based on the usability of their app id probably go elsewhere.
Outdated App
I initially wanted to switch to this bank, and as someone working in IT, I had high expectations for the digital experience. However, I found the app lacking in several key areas. There’s no option to view card details, which is a fundamental feature in modern banking apps. The overall interface feels outdated—more like an app from two decades ago than one designed for today’s users.
There are also no visible offers, rewards, or integrated tools that add value to the customer experience. From a usability standpoint, the app does not seem to follow standard Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) principles, which is concerning given the wide range of age groups and digital literacy levels of its users.
In today’s competitive landscape, where customers expect smooth, secure, and feature-rich banking experiences, it’s important for banks to invest in smarter, user-centered design. I hope the app sees significant improvements soon to meet the expectations of both everyday users and tech-aware customers like myself.

Ever since the security update, the login time has become incredibly slow. Both to get to the pin screen and then to log into the dashboard from there.
Snail Pace
App itself is okay but takes absolutely forever startup and open to the point where you wonder if it’s going to load at all. Sort it out.

Card Details
You cannot see your full card number in the app for online purchases or to fill in paperwork
Very bad bank
Was over seas and as I couldn't use there card over seas so I was transferring money to my Revolut bank that I could use over seas my state bank locked my account because they said it was suspicious activity and I had no money for three days so I cancelled my account once they unlocked it and transferred all my money out and then closed my account. I advised people not to use this Bank

Since the new update the app is so slow it’s actually ridiculous takes forever just to log in
