Terrible Update

The App was updated and now it doesn’t show you what train your track is arriving on and it’s very frustrating. If it’s not broke don’t fix it!

New update is so frustrating

This app was so much better before the update. Now when you click on the train to check the schedule, if there are no trains on the day that you’re checking, you’re out of luck. It doesn’t give you the option to choose another date, it just tells you to choose another different origin. As a visually impaired person, this makes it very difficult to plan my only means of transportation in advance sometimes.

Terrible update

WTF did you do with this update. The app is not user friendly at all. I can't even look at the schedule for tomorrow if there are no more trains departing, simply won't let you. Horrible design.

Terrible - Not Functional

The latest update is atrocious. Cannot load train schedules. Whats the point. Another NJ Transit blunder.

DOES NOT WORK ON iPad

Leave it to the brain trust at NJT to screw up a perfectly useful working app. If it aint broke, don’t fix it you numbskulls.

Update sucks

I’m not sure who is rating this app a 4.8 but it’s never been good. The recent update is an actual nightmare though. Every other screen gives some sort of error message. It freezes and requires a forced restart. Why can’t I search by origin/ destination???? Commuting in ny/ nj is enough of a headache- this app makes it significantly more difficult

Completely useless

Try and find any schedule for the train or bus, and you’re greeted with essentially a blank page and random travel times. Locating busses on the map just flat out doesn’t work. They made almost every function worse from the previous version. It needs to be reverted back.

So much worse

Somehow made the app unusable with their “major update”. What are you guys thinking. Why do you go out of your way to make your product worse?

Bad update bad service

NJ Transit is ruining lives. My card was removed from app, looks like $29 was added without my permission in a card balance. Where did that come from? I had deleted the app for a few days because of the enormous amount of storage that was being used. My credit card is gone from the app, which is disappointing. What’s the point of creating an account. On top of that, even when I press save details, the app signs me out everyday. The schedules are not consistent with Google and Apple Maps and I am just repeatedly frustrated with the service. The conductors I know are disappearing every ride and on top of that this fifa and back up path plans and canceling rides and the fires and the the lack of ac are appalling for the price us riders pay.

Terrible update

Ever since updating the app, none of my tickets have been showing up, even when my payment goes through. I keep getting an error message when I try to refresh the app. I’ve tried closing it and reopening it, signing out and logging back in, and even deleting the app and redownloading it and none of these solutions have worked. Beyond frustrating. Something needs to be fixed

Horrible app

The old version was much better. It’s impossible to get a simple train schedule. As if riding the delayed trains wasn’t bad enough…

Was once a good app … until upgrade

This app, like many apps in general, had a reasonably good UI with a useful set of options for the NJ rail rider. If an upgrade was needed, it might have been because the efficiency or reusability of the underlying code could have been improved. Instead, the UI was modified and useful functionality eliminated. The app is now useful for quickly buying tickets but that’s about it. Examining schedules is clumsy, getting uptodate train location either non-existent or very-well hidden. One has to wonder who is responsible for these app designs and approves these app changes?

Worse than ever

It’s almost unbelievable that they could make a new app that’s worse than the old one, but that’s NJ Transit.

What happened?

The app was never great but the new update makes it almost impossible to find anything. I was just checking schedules, and the app said there are no trains, but that I should check the schedule. Which I was doing. This new version is a real mess. Please do more user testing next time.

Horrible Redesign

This is one of the worst redesigns ever to exist for an app. Someone showed a couple nicer looking screens and just decided to build it without thinking about how people actually use the app. This is incredibly confusing and horrible to use. I wish zero stars were an option.

Terrible, trash app

Consistently wrong and misleading information. Unintuitive design. The entire team that designed this should be fired and replaced with people who actually use it and understand what information needs to be known and the best way to present that info. USE THE NJ TRANSIT WEBSITE INSTEAD

Complete Trash

This new version is nothing but a redesign. It made everything a jumbled mess where you have to search in multiple different places. Plus push notification alerts have not worked since this update. Absurd. What are these developers even doing? The entire NJ Transit organization from Kris down to the mail clerk is Incompetent.

Worst Service KNOWN TO MAN

They say they cancel trains because of weather conditions but the trains cancel or delay all year round. Always track issues, some tree always fell on the line. The same lies. Staff is unacceptable. Customers are constantly left stranded or stuck on trains. Utterly disgusting service.

Does not work on new iPad.

Reinstalled on new iPad Air m4. App does not open up past 1st. Screen. works fine on my iPhone 13 Pro.
