Excellent
NZ Post gets a lot of flack and it’s ridiculous. They are exponentially better than any other courier service and their tracking is fantastic. This all might have been mid a few years ago, but the rating is no reflection on it today. The fact it automatically adds packages registered to your email address is absolutely brilliant. Don’t read reviews from three years ago. You can’t ask for more from a post tracking app.

Please fix tracking number input
Most common operation I use, pasting tracking number into tracking text box field. Most people email tracking number with spaces in it. App will not accept this as valid format. PLEASE enhance the app to trim out whitespace automatically!! Please!!! Would make MASSIVE difference to usability.
Poor tracking
From what I can see this app doesn’t tell me anything more than the website. It says it’s a tracking app but why don’t they use GPS, does “out for delivery” mean 1, 2, or 6 hours away?

Cannot sign in on app
Using an iPad all up to date, message on line says update to latest app. Get a screen saying to log into but when I click on it it goes to a pop up that is blank.

I’ve had the app since 2020 and it has been great. Back then it wasn’t as good but still worked for me personally. It’s definitely gotten better as time goes on.

Why do couriers not get detailed tracking information - he just went to the wrong address AGAIN (probably a different person)? How difficult is it to provide a route to your drivers? Hint: it’s easy - unless your incompetent and / or inconsiderate.
If you can’t afford an 0800 number for problems then why can’t we call customer support straight through the app via the internet instead of wasting a lot of money on a prepaid phone call listening to unpleasant music?
And the website is just as bad and useless.
I do want NZ Post to succeed - but they can’t even get the basics right. That’s called incompetence.

Continue loop of Realme sign in not being acknowledged
Usually you sign in the app with Realme and it opens…today if just loops around to the ‘continue’ screen in the NZPost app. Doing my head in…used website instead

If you want an excuse to tear your hair out - look no further. All I wanted to do was give authority to leave. That should not be difficult.
Pathetic service
Please don’t book your any courier service through the NZ post. They don’t care your parcel. My parcel stuck in a scanning process and I already called to the customer service and ask to pick by myself they are not allowing me to pick it by myself and customer care executive said she didn’t know in how many days I can receive my parcel. They didn’t gave you any clarity. Last year they lost the parcel of one of my friend inside it were very important documents. So book any other courier service don’t this

Solid tracker for parcels
Not as bad as the other reviews say! Good for tracking your parcels. It offers push notifications which allow you to keep track of where they are.
For any features other than parcel tracking, it opens up a browser window to the website. So the flow isn’t great.
But if you need to just track parcels (and do things like delivery instructions and redirect) then it is a little better than using the website.
You do need a login, but it seems to stay logged in for longer than the website

Finally improved
From 1 stars to 5!!
Finally team, you’ve brought the app from 2012 into 2026, before we had unreliable updates, couldn’t login, the resolution was terrible.
I now get notifications on time as soon as my package updates and the app usability is a MILLION times better, please team keep doing what you’re doing 🙏

Absolute trash
Won’t let me log in no matter what I do. 3 Step process results in still not being able to log in. Keep with the website.
Simply cannot stay logged in.
Keeps logging me out. Poor service, stupid engineering teams

After years of no updates we finally got one and now I can’t log in. Useless app.
Email alerts unreliable
You set email alerts for parcel tracking and a few days later the alerts are disabled. You have to keep checking and enable it again.
VERY annoying when you are waiting for overseas parcels that take a while and are expecting email alerts telling you the parcels progress are never sent. Needs to be fixed!
