Timer in busy store makes it almost impossible
They only give you a short amount of time to complete the tasks and they send you walking all over the store. When I finally got to the pharmacy section they deleted the photos I took 4 separate times. After almost 2 hours of walking around this just about made me want to quit.
Finally it accepted my photos only to load for 10 minutes AND THE. DELETE MY ENTIRE APPLICATION.

Changed
I took a break from Observa due to the low compensation for observations(which were far in between). I was clearing up storage on my phone and decided to try again before deleting. To my surprise the pay rate has increased as well as the pay out time frame. I use to complete an observation at 8pm and I would be paid the next day(which was the only plus side to this app), now I’m on day 6 and my jobs are still in the review process, SIGH 😮💨………

Photos aren’t uploading
“Just take photos of the entire soup display” which only takes seven or eight very particularly lined up photos and then you get to play the roulette game of will it upload or will it just pretend I didn’t take anything and try to make me do it all over again? After 6 tries I gave up. It’s not on me to figure out what’s wrong with this time suck of an app.

TERRIBLE APP
The app is really bad, they deny every single one and when you try to appeal the appeal process is non existent . They never respond to emails either. Imagine working all day and 5 days later it’s gets denied with no appeal process.

Overall if the instructions are read and followed thoroughly your experience will go well and the payout is processed usually within 72 hours. Follow the instructions to each offer, in the most professional manner possible. Take clear pictures and answer all questions asked during the audit. Submit once it’s done. Customer support usually responds and resolves issues promptly. The only thing that could be better is the amount offered for each opportunity and also the app interface could be better. From a marketing standpoint, this app is perfect for growing businesses promoting a new product. This app is a great way to ensure the product is in stock and on display. This is the most ridiculous waste of time. Their standards are either unrealistic or they reject your perfectly good submission because they already have your photos and feedback- why would they even bother paying you now.

High rejection rate compared to other apps. You can make some money if the app works, or if they don’t decide to change their instructions. Large files won’t upload to their server, regardless of your internet connection, and regardless of how long you wait and keep the app open. (5G or WiFi)
Instructions say 1/2 to 1 product of overlap, then you get denied for not enough overlap and say they require 1-2 products of overlap. So you go back for another 45 minutes of taking photos with new instructions and they say it’s too much overlap.

Be Careful
I was looking for daily work and ran across this app. Pros: Easy registration just pass a background check. Cons: Low pay, slow assignments, and 5 day payouts.
More work less pay
The pitifully small number of jobs available near me have increased in the amount of work to be completed while the pay stays stagnant or only increases by a dollar or two. The app’s overly sensitive glare alert makes getting photos in buildings with fluorescent lights nearly impossible. This really has become a frustrating app to use and unless I see some changes on the requests, I won’t be doing any more.
I do work for several other apps and this one sits at the bottom of my list to check for jobs now.

Run away from this app
Fail. Delete. It crashes and have to retake photos. It won’t connect even though strong signals and other apps connect fine. They lie about how long some projects take (they took longer, even after doing the same project before). They reject your work for something they didn’t say in the description. And many other flaws. Run away, better apps and options out there.

Waste of Time
This app gives you job offers they say take 25-35 minutes. They don’t. It’s closer to an hour and every job is a gamble if you’ll get paid. They say follow instructions which are not overly clear, abd if just ONE photo you take out of close to 35 is slightly angled (even if their requested photo needs to be angled to fulfill the requirement) they reject the whole job. Even if everything is clearly visibly, if the photo does not line uo with a straight edge, you just wasted an hour of your life. You WILL lose money using this app between gas traveling for jobs and their high rejection rate. And support? Non-existent. You can email them and weeks go by before you get a reply. Probably one person with a backlog of complaints trying to answer everyone who downloaded the app. There are better apps. Avoid this one.

I accepted a Multi-Category Photo Audit that was advertised as taking approximately 25–35 minutes for $12. In reality, it took me nearly 90 minutes and required 94 photos throughout a large grocery store. The reference images were small and difficult to interpret, and the assignment was far more extensive than advertised.
After completing the work, the app froze during submission and repeatedly attempted to upload in the background. I received messages stating that only one photo had not uploaded, followed by an expiration email, despite the observation later showing as submitted. Ultimately, the entire assignment was rejected due to “photo quality.”
The most frustrating part is that Observa acknowledges that rejected submissions are not shared with their clients, meaning substantial work can be completed without compensation if a technical issue or subjective review occurs.
Independent contractors deserve accurate time estimates, reliable technology, and fair compensation for the work performed. I understand that quality standards are important, but expecting nearly two hours of work for no pay due to minor issues is unreasonable.
Until Observa improves its app stability, provides more realistic time estimates, and implements a fairer review process, I cannot recommend it to others looking for gig work.

Side hustle
Is a great little side hustle they don’t pop up often when they do pop up they’re very easy observations. Only downside is it takes up to seven days to get paid sometimes just don’t expect your money immediately. The money will get paid there. Just follow the directions.

Change the name to Rejecta
I’ve been able to do hundreds of Mobee and Field Agent gigs with no issues so the rare time that gigs finally showed up, I was able to do 7 and so far, they have rejected 4 of them.
My belief is that they reject but keep the photos and use them anyway because the job should come up again after the rejection, right?

Absolutely a scam
The rejection rate is too high to be reasonable. The reviewer tries the best to make up excuses to reject the submission and keep the data for free. The rejection rate is much higher than some other similar apps like Field Agent. Even Mobee is not this kind of picky. Yes, Observa’s payment looks good, but you won’t get it. Don’t be fooled by the pay amount. They don’t pay

I am using other app which is paying you actual money for your work and time but this one just taking your data and not paying you anything and giving you some excuses. Do not waste your time
Wage theft
If you accept the opportunities to do the undercover audits and take photos and get your photos rejected due to things out of your control please file wage theft claims against Observa because if you do work and don’t get compensated they have to pay you and given some of these are under minimum wage for tasks this app should be removed and shut down. This app offering money for photos you take means it’s no longer considered a volunteer service if payment is offered. So I suggest they payout for all my opportunities they failed to do or they can and will
Be sued for noncompliance under Mn state law to adhere to wage theft laws. They must do lookbacks on every account and pay people accordingly and if not they will have Feds going in.
