Only want to scan ticket
I only want to scan my ticket to see if it’s a winner. Why do I need to create an account? And scan in my drivers license? No thank you delete app.
Too much needed information

It’s frustrating to try to use the app for the purpose of scanning tickets. I have never had a successful scan with this app. It’s a terrible experience trying to use it
Absolutely useless
The only reason to have this app is to scan your tickets. Well, it can’t do that so it’s entirely pointless. Clearly, based on the reviews, I’m not alone!

Total waste! Downloaded …. Gave my phone number … my address … my last 4 of my ss number and the app can scan 2 of 10 tickets. Can’t wait to have to block the emails and messages that I was forced into accepting just to try to scan the tickets! DO NOT BOTHER!

Scam app used to steal your info and sell it clearly, makes you give them 100 documents to sign up then literally does not work at all, weird they need all that info on file for an app that doesn’t work.

This is another version of the terrible and completely useless Official NY Lottery app. The app is just really bad and the scanner doesn’t work at all!
I’m wondering if there’s any reason why NY Lottery cannot hire the developers who created great apps for other state lotteries in states like Florida, etc.? Their scanners work flawlessly and quickly.
I’m starting to wonder if that’s done on purpose..?! Maybe they just don’t want you to be able to check your tickets easily hoping that you won’t cash them!
Most of NY lottery ticket scanners available in most kiosks and stores where you purchase lottery tickets are often equally terrible or don’t work at all. I’m thinking if this may be all done by design..!?!?

Over every iteration of this app the scanner never works.

Amazing how they’ve released like ten versions of the “new and improved!” app yet still can’t make a ticket scanner that works with any kind of reliability. Come on people…camera scanners aren’t groundbreaking technology, this shouldn’t even take 10 tries to get it right.
Oh and please stop making the app ask me to allow notifications literally EVERY time I open it. If I didn’t say yes the first or second time, I’m not going to suddenly agree after 30 more times!!

I can’t even scan the NY lottery tickets.
I hate that everything needs a login.
You have to sign up and log in now to check tickets. And thats lame. I deleted the app immediately.
Rubbish
Do Not download this. It is only for them to Mine your information including SS and License numbers. They removed the only useful thing they had. They don’t allow guest scanning of tickets including scratch off’s. They have a lot of nerve selling you a product and then requiring you to provide your life’s history to find out you won $1 and spent $100. I would not trust them with my parking spot number, forget all that personal information. Get a life New York State, your ability to hire the lower part of the intelligence scale shows. 👎🏼

All this secrecy and security just to use a ticket scanner.
Why do you need to give him his Social Security number?
This app is a minefield of data privacy issues. It wants your date of birth, your Social Security number your address, your phone number and email and you trust the New York lottery to just keep all that secure I doubt it!!!!
Garbage
It requires way too much personal information, scanning of drivers license and facial recognition just to check lottery numbers. Absolute garbage ridiculous. Don’t bother downloading.
Can’t scan in tickets
The scanner has stopped working again and it just takes all the fun out of playing

They want you to make an account and verify your identity to just scan a ticket. I wouldn’t put it past NY that their collecting data and eventually try and tax you on winning scanned tickets
