Bad UI change

Moving the countdown indicator away from the code to the bottom of the screen, so that we need to look in two locations at once rather than just one, first thing in the morning, before caffeine, is the sort of choice that makes me hope someone’s toast falls butter-side down on the carpet.

Also, please bring back the Watch app. It was super useful.

Doesn’t work as it claims to

Doesn’t work for TMHP. When I reset my password, they ask me to click a number (for example, 10. Like google authentication) The Okta app doesn’t have that feature, so I’ve been struggling to sign in to TMHP for weeks. Please fix this

Infuriatingly buggy

When it works, it’s great. The problem is it often doesn’t work and will have warning icons with instructions to fix that simply do not work. This is the bane of my existence on my iPhone.

POS App

My computer crashed and my mouse was taken over when this pos ran on my machine. Before that my photos popped up and accessed my photos and then Apple had to recover. I’m running state of the art AI surveillance and I’m coming after you Okta. You’re going to be sued and investigated. I will not play and will turn you in to the authorities. I do not recommend installing this corrupt software. I must now investigate my logs and insure I don’t have a vulnerability because of it. Okta, you have no clue who you’re F with. Mess with my machine or my files? Took over my mouse. You’re outa here. I’m suing you. Bet.

Too much to access an email

I honestly think this is far too much to get into an email. Don’t get a new phone you’ll never into your email again.

FAQ

What is Okta Verify used for?

Okta Verify is used for two-step verification to confirm your identity when signing into your Okta account. It adds an extra layer of security, ensuring that only you can access your applications.

How does Okta Verify provide security?

It provides security by offering two methods for verification: generating a temporary 6-digit code or allowing you to approve a sign-in request via a push notification sent to your device. This ensures that even if your password is compromised, unauthorized access is prevented.

Is Okta Verify free to use?

Yes, Okta Verify is a free application. There are no costs associated with downloading or using the app for its intended purpose of two-factor authentication.

What information does Okta Verify store?

Okta Verify is designed to protect your privacy. It does not store personal information. The app only requests permission for your device's camera, which is solely used to scan a QR code for registering your device with your Okta account.

Can Okta Verify be used for non-Okta applications?

Yes, Okta Verify can be used to manage two-factor authentication for non-Okta applications and web services that require the use of passcodes. This extends its utility beyond just Okta account access.
