Near worthless app
I used Bria for years with Onsip and I am going back. The Onsip app crashes all the time and consistently drops calls before I can pickup and when I can answer it gives dead air almost 100% of the time on cellular and 60% of the time on Wifi
App is giving major issues since update
I hate to write a bad review, but feeling compelled after reading the review before me. We’ve been an OnSip customer for over 8 years and for the first time are seriously considering switching because of the disruption to how we do business. The new update to the app is the most problematic. The app has always had issues with iOS but even more so now.
-Can’t hear the incoming caller
-dropped calls while speaking and navigating to transfer
-too many screens to navigate and switch between.
-transfer button is missing 50% of the time. If it says “open OnSip” then there is no way to transfer.
-after transfer button, too many steps to find contact. Not able to enter the extension manually.
-definitely not working with 5g. Less issues when on WiFi but still problematic.
Customer support is doing their best to manage the influx of calls but I know they are frustrated as well.

Bugs
Phone bugs of not being able to disable the app and calls to office ringing on dr’s personal cell instead of at the office persist after she uses it in the evening to check on a patient. There used to be a way to bypass that once we realized the gliche, but it seems to be gone with recent cell updates.

Onsip app crashes
The app crashes when the phone goes to sleep, or if you close the app, or if you go to another app, and then back Onsip, it doesn’t work.
DO NOT USE THIS APP
I cannot stress enough how terrible this app is. It is extremely glitchy and unreliable. My company just switched to another service because Onsip was so disruptive to our business.
- If you are on a call and another call comes in, the app will often drop your current call
- Calling extensions within your company often doesn’t work—the app won’t let you pick up the call, or one person won’t have sound. We resorted to just calling each other’s personal cell phones
- We used to be able to do conference calls, or put a call on hold, dial a second person to request to transfer and give them details, and then transfer the call. A recent update to the app got rid of these essential functions we have been using for years. When we spoke to a customer service rep about it, they claimed that those functions never existed.
- The “do not disturb” setting on this app only works some of the time, for no discernible reason. I had to resort to completely uninstalling the app on weekends and during vacation.
Don’t waste your time. There are far better services out there.

Calls drops on the application
I switched from Att and regretted. At the end I am paying the same due to unexpected additional fees and the service is really bad. Waiting on contract to finish to move back to Att
Unstable app
The app sucks plan and simple.
New update is awful!!!
New update has so many bugs. Not even worth using anymore. Will probably be switching to soemthing else now!
Doesn't work after update
After the recent update, it does not ring for either outgoing or incoming calls and rarely shows voicemails. Cuts out constantly also.
“Do Not Disturb” setting is useless
The “do not disturb” setting on this app does absolutely nothing. I use the app on my personal phone when I work from home, and I set it to both “Away” and “Do Not Disturb” after office hours. It doesn’t matter—the calls always still come through. I’ve had to resort to completely uninstalling the app on weekends and during vacation.

Unreliable at best
Although I have this app on both my phone and computer, It has never worked well on either. 90% of the time I don’t receive any notification when I receive a call. Typically, the only way I’m notified is when I get an email afterwards saying a voicemail was left for me. I’m not sure I receive any indication at all of a call if the caller doesn’t leave a voicemail.
Also, when I am able to get on the phone with someone, I’m often told that I sound scratchy that I’m cutting out. When I ca the same person back using my personal number all problems are fixed despite using the same device.
I’ve tried logging in/out, updating the app, and just about everything else but nobody at my organization had been able to fix it or get it to work for themselves.
Every once in a blue moon this app works as it should but it’s truly unreliable at its best and unusable at its worst.

So unreliable
It never accepts your settings and despite having it on do not disturb it will ring endlessly. It’s so glitchy the only way to use it is if you delete the app between your appointments and reinstall it each time.
better options
this app is terrible
Lots of bugs
App comes with lots of bugs that don’t seem to be addressed. No way to separate app calls on the cell to the live desktop phone. Only setting that works is available and away. Otherwise it’s useless.
Too many glitches to be reliable.
The computer app works fine, and the phone system works fine but this mobile app for Apple will not except calls and cuts off calls prematurely if there is a second call or something else on your phone alerts you. I cannot believe in this day and age an app which was tested can have so many problems.

Serious malfunctioning
OnSIP has been great for us, but we’ve interacted through the site or with mobile transfers. This app, however, doesn’t work well. Answering calls, hangs up calls. The user gets logged out randomly. The UI lag is nearly 1 second, so you’ll click away. I’m calling on OnSIP to use a different tech to develop this app.

Sometimes is the operative descriptor
Sometimes it works well, sometimes it does not. Sometimes it answers inbound calls, sometimes it does not. Sometimes it recognizes the Bluetooth headset attached to my phone, sometimes it does not. Sometimes it maintains a good connection, sometimes it can be very choppy and drop the connection, even if you are stationary and working over a Wi-Fi network as compared to moving and using a cellular network. In summary, I can only depend on this app sometimes.
By contrast, my OnSip desk phones work very well. The Windows app is reliable, too.

Works well and support is great
App works well for me. The few times I’ve reached out to support they’ve been really helpful. Even saw a new feature I recommended get rolled out, so it’s nice to see they’re paying attention.
Doesn’t ring
We like OnSIP for our voip phones but the app doesn’t work reliably. It doesn’t ring 95% of the time. No notifications even. So it can be useful for one off calls outbound. But useless for receiving calls.
