Don’t update to 3.2.3 if you haven’t already

I was not experiencing any issues with the app, but kept getting the update message when I opened it, so I went ahead and updated it to 3.2.3. Immediately I noticed that when you click on a specific camera, the footage is not streaming anymore but now it’s as if it takes a screenshot every 2 to 3 seconds and shows you that. The second big issue that I have with the update is half of the cameras don’t end up pulling any video (or screen shot now) upon loading all the thumbnails. Really bad update and I’m going to have to see if I can go back to the previous update somehow. Almost unusable.

Easy to use, nice features

It’s great that you can share video. Super easy to search for video.

CNC

I gave it 2 stars because when it works (about 30% of the time), I’m able to view and zoom in on the camera image. Unfortunately, most of the time it does not work at all.

We were told the phone/web version was problematic, but I didn’t expect it to be this bad. We’ve had the system for a little over a year, and it feels like the app is getting worse, not better.

I’ve been trying all day to access my cameras and the app won’t load. Amateur system at best.

Works 50%

This app is great when it works. Problem is it actually loading

Buggy and worthless

App on iPhone and iPad currently don’t work. Even when it worked, was very buggy. Forces me to use web but even that isn’t very good.

Works great, when it’s working..

When this app is actually working, it works pretty well. but it only works 50 percent of the time. I can’t see what’s going on the cameras. I’ve reach out to our tech support and they’ve told me it’s an on going issue with IPhone users and the app. It’s been several
Months and I thought maybe there’d be an update by now and this would stop happening. I was told I can go on the website and watch which would be great to do from my phone, except then it just wants to redirect me to the app which doesn’t work most of the time. It simply just keeps loading, and then there are exclamation marks on each camera.

Is there anyone working to resolve these issues ?

Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Horrible app

It seems to get worse and more buggy with every update. Now you constantly have to reset your view preference.

App is slow/crashes

The app crashes when you try to skip through video. Open eye in general has poor performance with their servers and with this app. We only use them because its what was installed for security with our new builds. To many bugs in their servers. Slow, crashing, camera view loss, IP changes

Help.

Doesn’t show the right time of day on the new version. Poor connection. I spend more time waiting for it to load than reviewing what I want to see.

App Crashes when connecting via web account when run on MacOS

Crashing all the time

App keeps crashing within minutes of using. Was hoping it would be fixed by now but isn’t.

Can no longer log in via Microsoft auth

Used to be able to log in via single sign on with my work Microsoft account. With iOS 18 it goes through the motions but just spits out the auth token as text in a window and doesn’t send it back into the login flow of the app.

Meh

Any time I need this app, it always says username or password is wrong; when I’ve verified it’s right. I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling, I’ve tried clearing my system cache, and soft resetting my phone. When it works it’s cool to have, but when it doesn’t it’s a big pain.

Great app easy to access video

The search timeline bar makes it very easy to find video when you don’t know the exact time an incident happened.

The event search for person and vehicles works well with Openeye analytics.

Error

There’s an error message logging in and then i can’t log in for days. It just kicks me out and unknown error pops up . Horrible

Application constantly fails

This app fails to connect and open camera view. Only option is to delete the app, download it again, and it will work for a while. Really irritating.

Great experience.

I am extremely happy with this application and the product it controls. The cameras are crystal clear and easy to use!!!

App works great

The new version released in July defaults to lower resolution when showing many cameras, so it loads a lot faster when away from the office.

Crashes continuously

While using the app, I can’t even get to the point of watching footage before the entire app crashes. Even on a desktop using the webpage that is hardwired to the modem, the webpage will freeze at least once while viewing footage.

I have to keep reinstalling on iPhone

This website would be great if I didn’t have to keep reinstalling on my iPhone is there a fix for this?
