Been a palm tech user for many years. was forced to upgrade to palm tech complete. It is Terrible. An hour and a half inspection now typically takes 2 hours and then another hour finishing up the report from home. With the old palm tech, I could easily do 15 inspections per week. Now, if I do 10 I work late 5 days out of the week. I am currently still using, but looking into other options.

Sinking ship!
I’ve been a long-time user of Palm-Tech, and the decline over the past several months has been incredibly frustrating. Since the partnership with Porch Group and the move to a web-based platform, reliability has fallen off a cliff.
It’s now rare to complete a report without running into bugs, glitches, sync issues, or unexpected disruptions. Updates don’t seem to fix problems… they introduce new ones. When the software works, it’s solid. But, the majority of the time something is wrong.
As inspectors, we rely on stable software to run our businesses. Constant technical issues cost time, damage workflow, and create unnecessary stress. The support team is responsive, but they’re clearly overwhelmed by problems that shouldn’t exist in the first place.
This product used to be dependable. Now it feels unstable and neglected.

Wish I could give it zero stars
Honestly, the worst software ever. It’s unintuitive, glitchy, cumbersome, and sometimes completely unusable. Portions of your report will randomly become erased in the middle of your inspection. Entire reports have randomly deleted. Customer service can’t solve any of the IT problems. I wouldn’t use this going forward even if they paid me $1,000/month.

Terrible upgrade
Was finally forced to “upgrade” to Palm-Tech complete. Its an awful app now. They talk about lifetime support but now its lifetime of the version not what you paid for. I should have known better when they forced my off the old version claiming they no linger supported it and didn’t promise lifetime support but only support for the system even after I showed them my original email comms with them.
Well the new version is garbage. You cant get someone to call you back, been waiting over an hour and its a Wednesday. You cant upload the report to your computer to edit without sending it to the client. Its now the cheapest for a reason. Its not the best value its the lowest grade software available. Please avoid.

Worse software I’ve ever used
This is the absolute worse software that I have ever used! Don’t waste your money on this piece of garbage. I have had issue from day 1 of using it and still continue to have issues to this very day. Very glitchy. Sometimes I can’t even get the app to open while on site. Things will uncheck themselves after I’ve edited them. The report doesn’t send to realtors sometimes. Color coding doesn’t work sometimes. No spell check or predictive text when you are writing a custom answer. I have spent many hours on phone calls with customer service and emails about this crappy software. Nothing has been fixed. I have spent so long talking to customer service that I was told that the owner of the company would call me. We made an appointment and then he blew me off and never called. Palmtech is going down the dumps. Horrible horrible horrible software! Stay away from this train wreck of a software!

Whatever you do, do not even think about using Palmtech Complete. I’ve been a Palmtech user for 15+ years. This new system has totally lost two of my reports. They were almost complete, and they totally disappeared. This has resulted in me having to rebuild the programs from scratch costing me hours, and hours of additional work. This program is good in theory, but it does not work well. This is on top of many of the photos I have lost. If you want to use Palmtech go back to the earlier version you will regret using Palmtech Complete.

I recently switched my home inspection software to Palmtech which was a great move for me and my company! The software is up-to-date, very user friendly, and has amazing functionality. It’s everything you need as a home inspector. From the sales staff to the amazing customer support, its truly the best I’ve seen! I’m so glad I came across this company’s software.

Don't use don't waste your time and money
I have been using palm tech v9 for years to do inspection. When transfer to Complete, it total disaster. The Complete doesn't have AC, heater, and water heater module. When you have more than one AC. You need to add all items. It won't like V9. Click add another AC system. When filling any item. I need to manually click back to return the menu. Looks like it wasn’t tested in any mock inspections. Only internal version.

Ruined a perfect program
I use a tablet pc for pt8 and pt9 perfect and easy to add photos comments and everything stays on one page. Not anymore New version is all over the place. Very clunky and forces you to use a website for report writing. I’ve been learning it for about 40hr and have an entire list of issues, hardly useable in comparison. I don’t care or want the online report or route planner or any of the other trash in this app. You can’t even print preview offline. I like my offline,PT8 PT9 as is, creating PDF and using all easy one page tablet input. This program seems unfinished or untested

Easy to use and learn
I have read some of these reviews which appeared to be early during the apps release. I have just recently downloaded it And for the most part completed my template to be ready for use when I get a home inspection. The software is not complicated. The whole process is very easy to learn from customizing your template to setting up everything as far as scheduling, setting up, emails, services, agreements, and so on. I have not used it out in the field yet but I am excited to do so once I do a few I will definitely write another updated review. The promo they’re running is great and the monthly price for everything is great. I’m not gonna say it’s flashy like some of the other competitors but looks like it will get the job done. Reports look like they are easy to read, navigate, and mobile friendly. I have done several mock inspections, and everything seems very responsive and easy to navigate. As with any new software update or design, there’s gonna be some issues, and I have seen some things that could be added, and hopefully will be added in the future. I think it has a lot of potential. If they can add a few more features in and possibly tweak some things I think this app will be even better. I don’t think it needs a whole lot of work but definitely some things I would love to see added in the very near future. I look forward to using it and once I do my first inspection with the software or a couple of inspections with the software, I will definitely write another review.

Software Clumsy/Unusable
Palmtech Complete has removed several useful and necessary features from the previous versions of Palmtech. They have added several features that are clumsy, inefficient, and unnecessary. The sample report on the website DOES NOT match the actual report. It has potential but I would definitely keep your old version or go elsewhere for software at this point.

The sample report on the website DOES NOT match the actual report, not sure if this is intentional or just incompetence. I would definitely keep your old version or go elsewhere for software. You can’t mark a catagory “acceptable” without adding a comment, MAKES NO SENSE!

Not impressed
This app for me is unusable, been working on the problem for 2 weeks and can’t figure it out. Took away a key part of the inspection and replaced it with interior. Now if I want a bedroom it’s more work to add and rename then take out the stuff you don’t want rather then the old add another bedroom feature. I suggest If your looking for new software to stay with your old stuff till they figure the bugs out and maybe come back later.
