Best Location App!!!
Love this app, found it in January 2026 and have used it ever since for my family and friends. Love end-to-end encryption and the cross device support. Devs are very knowledgable and responsive! I will (and do) tell everyone about this app as an alternative to spýwąre like Life360.

This is the only location sharing solution other than find my that is easy to use, cross platform and end to end encrypted. Thank god it exists
Best Privacy Family Tracker
Life360 ist eine Datenkrake. Wir haben dies vorher verwendet und sind froh eine tolle Alternative gefunden zu haben. Für gute Privatsphäre bezahle ich gern.

Finally, the location sharing app we’ve all been waiting for and needed. It’s beautifully made, user friendly, and most importantly, it’s secure and respects your privacy and that of those you connect with. Obviously still a work in progress, but I’m amazed at how good this is, with such a small team and little funding. I see good things ahead for this project, and more people need to spread the word and help support it. Keep up the good work!

Private location app
Does ask you to sign up, but there is a guest option where you can avoid putting in any personal information. Only lets you have one group with two people. At least 3 would be nice though. Regardless, is a good app. Relatively simple to use.

Thank you so much for a great review. Road trip history is already in the works and it is coming very soon. Building private and end-to-end encrypted features takes much more time so thank you for your patience. Hopefully when it’s out, we can earn those 5 stars :).

Finally, a private, secure location sharing app
TL;DR I know this review looks like astroturfing, and the app is not perfect, but nothing ever is and Paralino is absolutely worth a try. It provides good privacy and security wrapped in pretty UI/UX, which is hard to do. I am just happy to see some kind of competition in the space, and you should be too!
This app is great! I’m shocked that the UI/UX is as good as it is, as most privacy focused services tend to sacrifice usability for security. Judging by the (at the time of writing, will WIP) architecture docs, this dev has managed to strike a balance without sacrificing anything (except probably their own time and mental health lol).
While it is not yet open source (again, at the time of writing), that is on the roadmap which is lovely to see. Even if this one day becomes self-hostable (please!), I would still happily pay to support development of a sustainable competitor to the other big players in this space.
The pricing scheme is also really smart and very reasonably priced. You can easily split the cost with a partner, or get even more value out of it by sharing with your family.
Definitely worth checking it out!

Awesome app if it’s being honest
Love the interface and features. I like not having to give my gender, phone number and email to use the app. If the app if being honest about its encryption/privacy it’s awesome. Unfortunately I don’t have long term experience with the app so I can’t say it’s perfect but definitely something to keep an eye on. The free version restricts you to only 2 members in a group, so you basically have to upgrade but other than that awesome. Needs to go open source asap to be verified. That’s the only reason I removed a star.

I installed the app and as soon as I launched it, a white splash screen appears and then the app crashes and closes.
