Great Password Manager
I have been using this app since 2010. I am very happy with its security and ease of use. While I prefer sorting my passwords by category, my husband prefers alphabetical. Never have I had any problems with this app. I love when I get reminders that an old password is weak or used repeatedly. Not worried about changing passwords because I have the ability to look them up easily if I can’t remember. This app has been a lifesaver.

Poor Support
I like this product for the most part, and I have been using it for years. Howver, I recently found the need for product support. I was migrating to a new mobile device. The new device was bult from the old one, so the configuration matched. By trying to establish a connection, I erroneously deleted my account on the new phone. This immediately impacted all access, even on my desktop. I have a local backup file. And I created a ticket through mSecure support. It has now been 4 days. I received 1 message, which told me how to backup my file from on offline device. But nothing on how to reestablish my account! I now have to evaluate moving to a new product, just to get back up and running! I am disappointed in mSecure service when I need it the most!

An app that forgets you already paid for it
Never as good as the old version but generally ok. The app seems to be on the downhill slide now though. It's doing the "move things behind the subscription paywall" part of the spiral.
They seem to forget many of us already paid for the app and have no interest in cloud services or subscriptions.

Best Password Keeper
I have used this app for over 10 years. It has never failed me. It keeps all my stuff private and easy to access. If your Face ID is being used the username and password will fill in automatically. There is nothing that I wish I had on this app because it is all there. You won’t go wrong using this. When you change a password or account it will automatically change on the devices that are in sync. Great App A+++

Keeping Face ID behind the paywall is egregious. It’s not like it’s some new feature that’s difficult in implementing. It’s a common feature on all apps.

Don’t like new setup
Suddenly my list of passwords and the locations are moved to several different columns and are not found in the all group. This makes it hard when you need to find a password. Used this for years, but now I’m frustrated
Update issue
Well I have been using this for years and now with the latest update the app crashes. The first thing it tries to do is sync and after about 5 seconds the app crashes. Great testing before deploying an update.
The issue is with the sync to Dropbox. If you turn off sync no more crash. Please fix ASAP.

Your newest update is horrible! I loved this app now I cant find certain passwords. It wants updates, I dont want to change over 100 passwords! Very disappointed!

Crashes on startup and export is terrible
I’m not going to waste much more of my life on this app by going into detail. But a password manager MUST be reliable and also have an export feature that doesn’t require an hour of massaging to be usable. Completely unacceptable. I’ve used this for years but I cannot tolerate two days of a password manager failing for any reason.

Very happy to pay the extremely reasonable price for a Premium subscription. I attach photos to entries, and it saves so much time. mSecure has been my trustworthy password & sensitive data keeper for many, many years. Never had even a hiccup of a problem. Perfect performance, always.
They Keep Winning Arguments I Never Made
I've used mSecure since 2010. I paid in 2010 and I paid again in 2016. For years I was a loyal customer who recommended it freely. I'm the exact person this developer claims to protect, and I'm the one writing this.
Then the deal changed under me. The product I'd already bought twice got reorganized into something I didn't recognize and routed into a subscription that rose every year. That's my complaint. Hold onto it, because the developer won't.
Their first reply implied I'd said things that "aren't true." Their latest one spends several hundred words defending the phrase "Universal App" and denying "semantic tricks." But I never built my complaint on "Universal App." That's their word, and they picked it because it's the one battle they can win. Writing paragraphs about it while skipping the actual grievance isn't an answer. It's misdirection, and now they've done it twice in writing.
Look at their own defense. They call the shift to paid upgrades and subscriptions "a common, software industry standard." That isn't a denial. It's an admission with better posture. "Everyone does it" concedes exactly what I said happened. The 66% discount and the free Essentials tier aren't proof of innocence. They're the severance check for a contract the company rewrote on its own.
The exit told the rest of the story. Getting a decade of my own data out meant fighting an export stuffed with junk formatting that imports cleanly nowhere. Whether that's by design or neglect, the effect on a customer trying to leave is the same. Companies confident in their product make the door obvious. This one hid the handle. There's a support ticket history with their own team documenting all of it.
I moved to Bitwarden. It's free, transparent, and better by every measure I care about. The only hard part of switching was mSecure's own friction, which answered the only question that mattered: does this company work for the user or for the renewal?
So here's the pattern for anyone still reading the developer's replies. Charged with changing the deal, they argue about vocabulary. Shown that their own words admit it, they point at the rest of the industry. Asked to let customers leave, they clog the door.

Great Password App.
I’ve used mSecure since it became available. I love it but the subscription is getting pricey to use all the features.

I have tried out several of these sort of apps. In today’s chaos securing your keys and pass phrases is a must if you lack the right memory.
