Awful AI
Genuinely the most horrific and invasive ai system that reviews your photos, profile picture and bio and takes out your individuality to make a sanitised complacent and corporate friendly slop profile. This app is not what it used to be and I do not recommend using it anymore.
Glitching
I installed it wanting to become a pet sister, it was extremely glitching from the start. When I wanted to put my details (name etc) my keyboard wasn’t showing up at all and I’ve left the app couple times thinking it’s just a one time thing. I put email and password and when I clicked continue, it kept showing me 4 times to put email and password again and started glitching.

Decent but needs a ton of work
The platform itself is good but they don’t put in any effort to have sitters update their profiles for their actual schedules or for sitters to have accurate information. You will spend hours contacting sitters who say they are available but aren’t actually.
Dog sitter had a psychotic break, ruined our vacation, and Pawshake kept their profile online
In theory this is a great app. In practice, our second ever sitter ended up having a psychotic break, sending over 400 extremely vile racist, homophobic and generally insane texts in the span of an evening. She wouldn’t stop and wouldn’t show us a picture of our dog to show she was ok, and started talking about human sacrifice, so We had to organize an emergency pick up at midnight in the middle of our vacation.
Needless to say it ruined our trip. We reported the profile and Pawshake suspended it briefly. But less than a month later we went back on the app and saw the exact same profile was active again. What’s worse, they wouldn’t let us leave a review to warn others, and didn’t even respond when we emailed them to complain.
There are plenty of great dog sitters on Pawshake. But there are also racist, mentally unstable people that the app knowingly allows to watch your pets. So my best advice is be careful.

Love this app!
So helpful to be able to last minute click on a sitter and see if they’re available. The map function is super helpful too as it’s great to find someone close to home or work.
Needs a function to keep sitters accountable
I want to use Pawshake more but I had a bad experience with a sitter who was only staying half of the time for their visits. I wish that the app had a feature to keep sitters accountable for the time they are present, similar to their competitor Rover.
Seriously great care for pets
We have used Pawshake across multiple states in Australia and have found it incredibly useful and convenient. It has made it easy to find high-quality, trustworthy dog sitters who can meet a wide variety of needs, whether we need someone for a short stay, a longer period, or simply different types of care depending on our circumstances.
We have been consistently impressed by the quality of the sitters we’ve found through Pawshake, and the platform makes the whole process of finding and connecting with the right person so much easier, and close to our location. It has been especially valuable for us as we have moved and travelled between different states, and I travel so often for work. Malgré de (très) nombreuses tentatives, impossible de créer mon profil de pet sitteuse malgré de nombreuses tentatives. La raison ? pas de photos assez belles pour cette application :
-la photo de profil n’est jamais assez bien: visage trop sur le côté, luminosité pas assez belle…
-les photos sur le profil, tout pareil…
Je pensais pas qu’il fallait un bac +10 en photographie pour faire du pet sitting, et bien pawshake m’a démontré le contraire.
Je ne conseille vraiment pas, allez voir ailleurs ça vous évitera de perdre des jours pour rien (ce qui a été mon cas)

Bad for Dog Sitters
After bringing businesses to Pawshake with a lot of 5-star reviews, Pawshake always prioritizes Dog Owners over Dog Sitters. Pawshake forgot that Dog Sitters are not Pawshake's employees but are in an equal partnership. Pawshake is not a great communicator when communicating with Dog Sitters, they treat Dog Sitters as slaves with harsh and unthoughtful messages. They never send thank you to Dog Sitters. Without Dog Sitters, Pawshake would have no business. In addition, you will never know where are the customer service agents are located. They will not tell you. Dangerous.

I was trying for couple weeks to apply to be pet sitter BUT it kept saying I need to add my home photos and my home services to description bc even though I do NOT OFFER my home it very frustrating and I contact help multiple times and nothing
Very Handy!
I’m finding the app very easy to use, and greatly appreciate the option to utilise it while offering services just in my local area.
If I had a Wishlist for changes to the app I would ask for notifications of upcoming appointments, also the ability to change availability on any particular day for only certain services or all.
