No longer get receipt unless you have an account. Whose anti-customer choice was that? And the account register feature does not work anyway! Needs to be more competition in the market because these provider monopolies at point of use suck for consumers.

We are staying in Annecy with a hire car. We were recommended to use Flowbird! Don’t bother if your from the UK as it doesn’t allow UK citizens to register! PayByPhone Parking works very well. Easy to extend your parking via the app.
Payed by phone got ticket anyway
I parked in a parking garage and paid for my parking through the PayByPhone app. Despite having a valid payment, I still received a parking ticket.
When I contacted PayByPhone support via chat, they simply told me that I would have to contact the parking operator because they were not responsible for handling these situations.
This is extremely frustrating. If I pay through the PayByPhone app, I expect the payment to be correctly communicated to the parking operator. If I still receive a ticket and have to spend my own time appealing it, what is the benefit of using the app in the first place?
The app may process the payment, but the customer is left to deal with the consequences when something goes wrong. That is not the level of service I expected.

Smooth
Works well for someone whose city uses a different parking payment app. I downloaded it while traveling, and it has been flawless in multiple different zones. One thing I like more about the app my city uses though is that it saves zones and lets you choose from them when you pull up the app for a more speedy option.

Even on first use at a Pay by Phone location, I am finding this app to be nowhere near as good as the other leading parking payment app I have often used elsewhere. It seems you cannot find the range of prices for a car park in the app, nor the maximum allowed duration of parking. This ought to be usefully found (and can be in the rival app) before choosing to head to a particular car park. Even upon arrival in a car park you still have to get out of the car and head for the ticket machine or sign to check this out. Also I was unable to process a transaction in the time before the chargeable time of day had actually commenced.
