Excellent

The engineers that built this app are incredible and deserve a raise

Partial payments

Terrible not user friendly
Can’t split or make specific payments. Just as bad as calling them.

Hitting Submit Multiple Times

I do not understand why I have to tap submit a payment twice. You should give me a message, “Are you sure you won’t submit $$$’s?” Then I could reply yes. My concern is, submitting a payment twice. Not a good payment processing situation..

Only one complaint

The absolute only thing I dislike about this app is that I have to sign in every single time. Other than that it’s amazing

PENNYMAC

Love the app working for me really well love the Face ID login I forget my codes a lot that’s a plus.

General comments on app

Would be nice to have a more intuitive experience navigating between my two loans. Would like to have a version of the app that is better suited to a tablet. I prefer to use my iPad to view loan details and make payments but find the interface lacking. On a positive note I find it easy to find information I’m looking for. With a few user experience updates I would give it 5 stars.

Easy to manage payments

It’s easy to manage payments and they even have a section for paying down principal. Really makes the process better being able to have full control. Login process is a little tedious though. Could be simplified.

Great Company

I appreciate Pennymac for their great customer service. Their reps are always caring and knowledgeable. It seems that they are happy with the company that they work for and that makes me happy. Keep up the good work!

Difficult

It is too hard to switch from my first mortgage information to my second mortgage information in this app. There needs to be an easier way

Worst app I’ve ever used

Wow, this has to be the worst experience I’ve ever had with a company and an app in my life. They charged me 3 payments, then took them all back. (Not the first time they have done this) I’ve spent hours on the phone with them, zero help. I just want to pay my mortgage and they are LITERALLY making it impossible. If I could have given zero stars I would have….

Better than the website

For years I struggled with PennyMac’s website from my mobile device. The app has simplified my online experience significantly. Massive upgrade!

Wack

No way to split mortgage payments so now I have to manually pay bimonthly because my partner and I don’t share bank accounts.

Face ID doesn’t work

For well over a year the FaceID feature of this app has failed to work. This has been across multiple iPhones (14 Pro Max and now 17 Pro), multiple updates, and uninstalling/reinstalling the app.

You need to either get this fixed or quit advertising the feature.

It offers Face ID, but it never allows me to login with my face? Is this an update that needs to happen through my app or is it not available?

App doesn’t always load

Payment options

Easy, efficient and safe!

Buggy. No real help.

The app is barely navigable & has a bunch of bugs. Getting ahold of your actual point of contact? IMPOSSIBLE. 5 months of trying & nothing.

Stop making minor updates mandatory

Had a few weeks of optional updates that haven’t forced me to download a new version just to check my balance; that’s an improvement and I appreciate it.

Another day, another forced update for “design…”

My response: developer’s response fails to explain any value the user gets from an enforced download of this app multiple times each week. A far more professional approach would be to segment updates into major and minor releases, with only major releases breaking functionality for existing users. But the developer’s response clearly indicates a belief that only the developer gets to define what good “performance” is.

Developer response: “the updates are important to enhance the app's performance.”

Update your app three times a week? Fine. But stop forcing me to download each and every version. Minor releases should not be mandatory downloads.
