New update is terrible
Since the latest update, you don’t see loan total on the Home Screen, this is causing a glitch in my other financial institutions calculation of my loan in regards to my net worth. Now the next oayment is the only thing that shows.
Confusing
It seems that this app is or can be very good. However, with my first experience, I’m showing one thing such as a first payment due on August 1 and when I speak to the representative, they’re telling me that it’s it’s due on July 1. I have not made a payment because I have been seeing August 1 the entire month. This is confusing and the representative is telling me that I can make the one time payment with him on the phone even though I’m not seeing. A due date of July 1. The representative also agreed that he sees what I see and that there must be some type of glitch in the system.

Payment
I was making my payment on 7.16.26 and it would not let me make my payment without changing me a late fee and the payment was within my grace period
App not great
Always an update that makes the app glitch rather then fix anything way to many updates for an app
My experience with PennyMc Mobile App.
I so appreciate the ease of use. Info is clear & concise .
Loan Balance
The app has been improving little by little but recently they changed the Home Screen. The Home Screen used to display the loan balance and the upcoming payment due and now it only displays the payment due and it’s very hard to find the loan balance. I like seeing my balance go down every month and now I have to go searching for it just to find it. Please add it back to the Home Screen.

Why
I’m trying to understand what the motivation of app developers is. If I have a loan, I want to know what my balance is, why would that not be on the front page? I don’t know anybody with a mortgage that doesn’t know what their mortgage payment is. Whose idea was this? The only thing you’re willing to show on the landing page is the monthly payment? Just in case we forgot how much you’ve been paying for the last 30 months?

Stop making minor updates mandatory
Another day, another forced update for “design…”
My response: developer’s response fails to explain any value the user gets from an enforced download of this app multiple times each week. A far more professional approach would be to segment updates into major and minor releases, with only major releases breaking functionality for existing users. But the developer’s response clearly indicates a belief that only the developer gets to define what good “performance” is.
Developer response: “the updates are important to enhance the app's performance.”
Update your app three times a week? Fine. But stop forcing me to download each and every version. Minor releases should not be mandatory downloads.

Mobile ease
Very easy to use and fast.
Easy
User friendly. So simple just to get what I need done.
Must be updated monthly
Not good, always has to be updated , Face ID never works .. it’s a joke
Used to be 5 stars
The new (July 4, 2026) format hides information multiple taps down. This app now is focused on selling first and second then helping customers third.
App
Always gives me a hard time
Fannie Mae and Freddy Mac
2008 Subprime loans given out to FAMILIES, they KNEW couldn’t repay the loan. The socioeconomic trickle-down saw families having to use their 7 or 9 year olds social, to apply for credit, often to apply for a “title loan” on their vehicle just to delay the inevitable. True loss. All of it, gone like Enron employees retirement accounts. Now I’m not blaming one-cent-mac (Pennymac, lol that was clever, made myself lol a bit) for the sins of the father, but BEST BELIEVE, that will NOT happen again. Now before anyone gets their panties tangled in their balloon knot, just know that I support CEO’s and the massive salaries. If you’re running a company that big, you deserve it. Just remember that it comes with a side of “Narcissism” and “Greed” if you’re not careful. Dave Chappell said it best when he walked away from a Comedy Central deal worth $88 m. “I looked around and there’s Bill Gates, or Steve Jobs, eatin’ the same overpriced food I’m eatin’. So what’s the difference in $88 mil or $188 mil? It’s all the same.

Missing removed loan balance
Why would they remove the loan Balkan e from the Home Screen on the app on website? That is Poor decision and poor customer experience.
App not working after adding new updates
After being told there was a new update the app went completely blank and can't submit any payments
Needs improvement
Very spotty especially the payment interface, Not always reliable
I love Penny Mac
I love this app because it makes everything easier and more convenient. I can make all the payments I want to make right from my phone.
New design is awful
No total mortgage amount on main screen. So confusing now to find needed info.
