Information stolen

Just a heads up. My information was stolen on this website. Wanted to give this place 5/5 for being the worst spot in Colorado. This app gaslight me into thinking I was crazy about my information being stolen.

Unusable

Poached has developed a very nice website and a very nice network which has helped many people find jobs. It’s is a shame that they have obviously put zero effort into making their mobile app usable. There is no map, no search functionality of any kind, no way to save jobs or mark them as seen; essentially all of the features which make the website usable are absent here. There is a marked disadvantage to using this app over just using your phone’s browser for their site. A huge disappointment, and I could easily see it sinking the company in an age where mobile apps are far more used than websites.

Best job app for cooks

This has been the most streamlined job platform I have used.

Impossible

For one, there is no way to save jobs, I have had to screenshot listings and use the search function to find something later to apply. Additionally, every time you leave the app and return, the monumental list of jobs refreshes and you have to spend time scrolling all the way back to where you were. I have my location set for my city, as I don’t have a car, yet it still recommends me jobs that are in the next state/city over. I have limited the range as best I could yet it still happens. I miss when food service jobs were listed on Craigslist that has all the features this app is missing.

App is worth it

Worth it if you work hard.

App mgmt is careless

Fair warning the people behind this app view everyone who works with the app as expendable and replaceable. They don’t value the workers. Do not depend on this app because if you have an emergency you’ll be kicked off of the shifts. Whoever Veronica is she’s super rude and ruthless. She seems to seek retribution if she doesn’t like you. Would no longer recommend this app.

App needs some work

Biggest issue I have with the app is that it resets you to the top of the list when you switch out of the app or sometimes when you come out of a posting forcing you to scroll all the way through to find your place. It would also be nice if you could narrow down location by mileage from your address because a lot of the postings are 45min-1hour out from me and I don’t own a vehicle.
One positive I could give is that it is a good resource for the food industry as most companies seem to be using it over other apps like indeed

Nice.

Easy Peasy

Very useful but can use many upgrades

I’m grateful for this app but I think working on the following things would make it better:
- if the app didn’t randomly refresh making you lose your place in searching
- if the app posted job ads in chronological order
- being able to save job ads

Needs work

Why is this so bare bones?? No ability to save job listings, to track which jobs you’ve applied for (and be able to cancel your resume), no dates from when they were posted…

This app has potential.
But I can’t rate you for potential.
Currently, your app is barest of bare bones.

Please be able to save job postings and put time stamp on job posts

I find it so frustrating that you can’t save job postings to apply to later. Sometimes I’m checking just to see what’s on there and really wish I could save a posting I find to apply to later.

I also find it very frustrating that the jobs posted aren’t dated. How do I know how old the post is? For all I k own it could have been posted for weeks and the position is filled. I’ve called places just to find out they’ve filled the position but the post is still up for weeks.

Portland, OR

The app connects the dots pretty seamlessly and efficiently… I have yet to actually get hired but I have faith! Grateful for this tool and its easy-to-use interface.

respinsable

busco trabajo

Okay for full time, useless for shifts.

When I first tried Poached it was the best app for food & beverage service gigs in Portland. I even got a gig that turned into a full time job for a year.

That ended last year, and I went back to Poached, but my account while open lets me view but not apply for new shifts.

Months and multiple emails to support later, I still cannot apply for a shift. I can’t recommend a gig app who must pay some attention to job posters but not the least to gig workers!!

Mixed Results

There’s great potential in a food industry app that lets people apply for both jobs and short term gigs… but it also doesn’t allow new users access to the gig half of the app. This is a huge disservice to both the employee and employer sides of this service. Really just leaving money on the table for no reason

It has to be bias, prejudice, or a front.

The app says they’ll review and approve profiles within 3 days. Back in February, I reached out and followed up regarding profile approval and was told that due to high interest, they paused accepting new workers/approving profiles which seems counterproductive to me. They also didn’t have a timeline for when they’d be accepting new workers which is odd considering the app’s functionality. To this day my profile has yet to be approved and I’m thinking they’re just collecting people’s information because they’re operations run counter to the purpose of the app. Seems like a front to me.

App only

Please make able to apply online, interface is weird

unmet potential

this app has great potential but as its stands now its wayyy less than ideal. refreshes to the very top when u leave the app and come back, impossible to narrow down search location to a smaller radius, no map available to see the job listings on a wider scale, and job listings that dont make much sense for an app that seems to be more food service/ industry oriented... i wanna use this app more because i hate indeed but this app doesnt really meet my expectations or needs.

Prejudice

I am only writing this because I have found out from another person that they had similar prejudice experiences with this same guy. The man in the Poached platform was very rude on the first day of orientation (despite me be one of the only Professionally oriented persons present). At that point I knew what I had to look out for. Even though I had put a profile photo up with only my face the man had stated “this is not a dating site”. Just clearly prejudice and crude. I had to reach out to Veronica personally anytime I needed an issue resolved because my emails to “support” would miraculously be ignored. I had an issue with a client about parking and they marked me “no call show” despite us having a conversation whilst looking for parking. I was told in a very informal email that I could not submit an appeal. Clearly it was this guy; I can always tell who is who by the attitude in the emails. His professionalism is telling and his prejudice, racism, and jealousy against the black community(and most likely other communities)is LOUD. I will update once I find our old messages with his name.
