But always has issues. Now all I keep getting is “network connection error”. Delays when giving commands, doesn’t match up to what the thermostat says. When it works, it’s great. But it doesn’t always work

This company never improves so I hope it fails
The executives of this company are bad and should feel bad. The app has no integration with any other smart system out there. You can’t add your own devices. The interface is rudimentary and old. The Siri integration is terrible. There is scant customization. This system is for the benefit of the property owner; alarm.com and rental managers only pretend it’s for residents.

This app is horrible I’m sure it’s ran up my electric per the comments below most is accurate I had adt coke out and look at why panel wasn’t updating with any devices waste of money installed by apartment complex and can’t get assistance because I’m not ovwner over residence. Will be filing complaint with bbb. Not one device syncs up so leaves my air running or heat running for hours after it says updating or transmitting😡

Trashiest American home security app on the market
Honestly, I don’t know why I’m writing this review beyond warning other businesses to avoid this platform.
The security panels my building put in every apartment unit has a camera deep inside, I’d highly suggest putting some electrical tape over it for obvious reasons… beyond that, this app is capable of functioning as a smart home, but ADT doesn’t let the renter add this system to any other smart home systems, such as Google home or Apple HomeKit.
SIRI SHORTCUTS WILL NOT WORK, AT ALL.
The Thermostat system is decent, and even has a schedule function, but all forms of smart home functionality beyond being able to remotely control things from the app, are void and null.

Setting up schedules is annoyingly complicated, doesn’t interface with Google, doesn’t interface with Apple easily, you can’t add any of your own smart devices, updates that add functionality are nil, etc. This system is for the benefit of the property owner; alarm.com and rental managers only pretend it’s for residents.

Not user friendly
Home Screen seems easy at first but modifications are confusing causing connectivity and functionality problems. Need better user guide support or technical support via chat for immediate assistance.

Once a while this app just auto log out. It’s annoying but it’s fine. But now after log in a few second, I went to access control and it just log me out, that’s unacceptable … it become unusable
So slow, SO many glitches and bugs
After someone stole my apartment fob, I am now forced to use this app to gain access to entry to my apartment building. This app is not reliable at all, and is always crashing / very rarely works the way you want it to.
No activity log
There is no activity log on some days then others. Why have a petty good idea. Like when you report an issue with the maintenance man. It’s not safe or secure. I guess I’ll have to write reviews elsewhere as well.

I activated the alarms through the app and someone kicked and broke the door and the alarms never went off nor got a single notification/text/call from the app or the ADT company
