Pomelo has been the worst service experience Iāve ever had. If I could give 0 stars, I would. Iāve been a customer since the beginning, always paid on time, and never had issuesāyet I still never received my Pomelo Mastercard after more than a year of back-and-forth.
Now the card is suddenly blocked, and when I tried to use my own debit card, Pomelo rejected it because my bank uses my PO Box address. USPS does not deliver to our physical address, so all of our documentsāincluding bank records and business licenseāgo to our PO Box. But Pomelo required a physical address during signup, which is where all these issues began.
I have sent every document I have, but Pomelo still wonāt accept them, despite having my SSN and despite me using your service for years without any problem. If you truly thought I was a risk, why allow me to send money all this time?
When I needed the service most, I couldnāt use it. At this point, if I have to use my own debit card anyway, Iād rather switch to Sendwave because their rates are better. The only reason I stayed with Pomelo was for the Mastercard, which seems impossible to receive.
I am now seriously considering deleting my Pomelo account and moving to Sendwave permanently.

Dont waste your time.
I dont recommend pomelo to anyone becoz their customer service is bad. Plus you need to deposit money for you to enable to use it. Plus you have to pay it in full on the due date even itās your onw money. Itās a big mistake for me using this. I close my account done with pomelo

Terrible chat support. They won't update you of anything. No option to cancek for a transfer that taking so long to be delivered. They said habe to wait for the partner vendor for the cancellation. Up until now, there is no result. Just need my money back!!!
Low exchange rate
In 2024 the exchange rate was competitive, being around 55-57 pesos per dollar. Now itās only 53 pesos per dollarā almost 52. Xoom, Western Union and others offer at least 55 pesos per dollar. The Mastercard Exchange rate has been consistently above 55 peso AT LEAST! Customer service hasnāt fixed it in months. I talked to them a few times and they just give me fake automated responses. Iām convinced they are taking advantage of people who arenāt paying attention to the rates. Be careful with this service!

Pomelo Remit
Pomelo remits very fast. Youāre still on the phone with the recipient and the money is already there in the Philippines.

I would like to be able to pay my balance immediately to be able to send more money than my limit allows if needed but it takes about 3 business days if lucky to clear.
Best Remittance App. Period.
Iāve been sending money for 30 years and Pomelo is hands down the best remittance app by a mile! I can send money instantly and pay it a month later like a credit card. Iām also earning points like a credit card. With Pomelo, my credit score has gone up too. Astig!
Not reliable had to go back to Western Union
In the middle of the night I had to send money to my Love one in the Philippines, my account was not available to send money. The good thing is that western union can send money directly to GCash instantly. Thank you Pamelo for making me look around for a solution.

Asking for money to send them not letting me pay
So they asked for money to put on hold to send whenever but when I connected my debit card they asked for more money to pay off the money I put in. Like a low level credit card

Works with risks.
Ever tried to order something for delivery in the Philippines and run into problems when using a foreign credit card: groceries, food, supplies from MetroMart, Food Panda, Grab delivery and alike? Well this App takes care of it. Works so far but has some security risk: after every order within 24-48hrs Iāll receive a SPAM text on my phone from the Philippines (63- country code) - every time. They should shore up data privacy measures.
