Like scammers
They constantly take lessons away for no valid reason. You purchase and schedule lessons, the payment is charged, and then if you cancel a lesson several days in advance, the money simply disappears.
Customer support always claims that the money was only reserved and was never actually charged, even though it was clearly taken from the bank card.
Another issue is that when you decide not to renew your subscription because the app and its support are terrible, they simply remove all of your available lessons. Then you have to spend a very long time proving that those lessons were taken away unfairly.
Support keeps saying, “Yes, we will restore the lessons,” but they never actually restore anything.
This app feels borderline fraudulent. Be very careful.

Fraud Alert!
I had a bad feeling about this from the start but we connected with an Arabic Tutor named Pierre. It was nothing but confusion and cancellations on the tutors part from the beginning. We paid for 8 lessons up front and got 2 half assed lessons and then were told by the tutor that his Preply account was suspended and he’s can’t fulfill the lessons. Never heard anything from Preply or received any help on finding a new tutor. Can’t get anyone on the phone with an explanation. Beware this app
