Almost Stranded
My husband and I got an Kia Niro EV at a rental car agency unexpectedly and were told that Presto would be a good app to help us find electric chargers for the vehicle. We were on a trip and the first few we found were fine, but one that we went to with just a few miles left ended up being on a gated manufacturing facility with no access, even though the app said it had no issues. We were just a few miles from being stranded when we found the next one that we worked. Another place we went had access but the chargers needed some kind of authorization that the app did not provide. In addition, presto advertises cheaper prices than available, but every experience we had the advertised price on the app was the same or more expensive than the charger itself. This has made our trip much more difficult and frustrating.

Travion assisted me very quickly and met my every need. I had trouble removing the charger from the port, causing an original charge of $14.96 to skyrocket to over $60.00. He refunded me a portion and removed the pending charge for the rest of the funds. I am very grateful for his assistance.
Love Presto
Presto is built in insurance especially when chargers don’t work… your authorization hold is good for an hour which Trey did a great job at explaining and calming me down as I was rethinking my whole life and decision on going electric lol. But Trey and Presto saved the day! This App will always be used daily to locate and pay for charging! Thankssss Treyyyyyyy!

Some decent discounts, garbage UI
There are some good deals to be had with Presto, especially on ChargePoints that otherwise charge a flat hourly fee. Beware, however: many stations are marked up on Presto then “discounted” back to what you’d pay on the native app.
The Presto UI is just trash. No way to hide the keyboard so you can submit a charger problem report. The map inexplicably snaps back to your current location when you return from the charger detail view, making it impossible to research chargers anywhere else but your current location.

Every time I go to a charging station I never have an issue. Every single person that I’ve encountered at the station using the OTHER APP has been experiencing issues. Never with presto 💕. I pull up , plug in , and that’s it. I love it here.

I had an issue using the Presto EV Charging app where the station kept showing an “unauthorized payment method” error. It was pretty frustrating at first, but their customer service completely turned things around.
I reached out to Presto support, and they responded quickly. They were able to verify my payment method on their end and remotely start the charging session for me. The whole process only took a few minutes, and they charged my card afterward without any issues.
Honestly, this was some of the best customer service I’ve experienced in a while. Fast, helpful, and effective—exactly what you want when you’re stuck at a charging station.
