Go somewhere else
I bought the 2 year plan. Starting about 45 days into it, I started having problems. Connectivity issues, speed throttling, difficulties connecting to the VPN when switching between cellular and WiFi. I’ve spent over a month at this point troubleshooting with their tech support. Which, by the way, is entirely over email because they don’t offer phone support, which means you are lucky to get one response per day, and none on the weekends. I’ve given up. They won’t refund me because I was 15 days over the 30 day refund period, even though the product is pretty much unusable for me. I keep jumping between different support agents, idk if I’m being pushed to another tier or that’s just how they do things but each person is new to my issues and wants me to start over. Trying to file chargebacks but we’ll see if I have any luck. If I can’t get my money back I will probably end up buying another VPN anyways because genuinely ProtonVPN does not work for me. I have one Windows and three Apple devices, and the problems persist across all of them. I don’t think this message will help get me a refund, but I do hope it helps prevent you front giving Proton your money.

Poor connection
When the vpn is on it’s very difficult to do even basic web searching. Most apps don’t work.
Slow app, great service
I mean, title really. The app for iPhone and iPad is slow to open. I love the service, although it does sometimes drop and you have to manually cycle what server you’re connected to. Maybe that’s for some reason and I’m just ignorant to why.
Love, but….
There are times this thing is great. Other times, it starts to slow down without warning. Wish it would switch to optimal networks on its own.
