Not completely user friendly
A bit primitive. Also when paying the credit card it does not distinguish clearly between the Minimum Payment, The Statement Balance, and the Total Balance. You have to pull a statement. Which in this era you should have a button for each option of payment. And with immaculate credit and cards with no limit and a credit score over 800 this is one of my oldest credit cards since 2015 and have never gotten a credit line increase. And it’s 2026. I just keep it for the history. I never use it any more because of the lack of trust.

Always “on maintenance”, very glitchy, need a copy of statement asap and unable to get one because of issues, it always says “try again next time”.

Better than before
There are simple things this app does not do. For one, I cannot set up a recurring payment from my checking to my credit card account, and the payment options are either the minimum due or the full balance, not the statement balance. To set up ebills for the credit card, I have to enter my password for the credit card—which is the same password I used to open the app except I don’t remember it because I use Face ID. And, surprise, the app does not allow me to use Face ID to enter my own again.

Stay Away Worst Banking App Ever
This is by far the worst banking app I have ever encountered! Low interest rates on your savings and poor banking app is what you get. having been a customer for many years of Provident credit union I’m appalled that they would put this piece of garbage out for customers even after multiple multiple complaints and feedback they’ve done nothing to try to fix it.
It takes 5 to 7 attempts minimum to login crashing each time then finally after trying again and again you get another text message for another code, even though you’ve logged in and then it suddenly crashes again! clearly Provident credit union is a cheap bank that just wants to provide the cheapest possible app to provide their customers with not only a garbage app, but the lowest interest rates. As soon as I can, I will be moving to another bank and I suggest you do not use this credit union you want to call i…..don’t be fooled. Stay away from!

My dad opened an account for me when I was a kid back when Provident Credit Union was the California Teachers Association Credit Union. The services and terms for accounts are good and I like not supporting the giant mega-banks.

The phone app has been entirely way too slow and not responsive these past few months. (Update) I’ve redownloaded this app so many times and still just stuck on the loading screen. I’m tired of having to figure out ways to make this app work. It’s 2026 get some good engineers to make this app work.

The $$ was in savings to cover and I was charged for overdraft. Not happy.
Broken (again)
I generally think the app is pretty good. They UI could be better, but most of the information I need can be found without too much effort.
My issue is that it fails often after updates. The current issue (which has occurred before) is that I can’t use the check deposit function. The “touch the screen to capture an image” does not work at all. Therefore I can’t deposit my check.
There are other areas in which the ability to tap the buttons does not work. Hopefully, these issues will get resolved soon.

Pending Transactions
No longer showing merchant names, makes it DIFFICULT to track spending and expenses. TERRIBLE APP.
