UX is awful, I just tolerate it
Providus needs to hire a competent designer to make this as usuable as GT’s app or like other Neobanks. there is no reason a bank that makes money should have an app this bad. It even makes me worried about the company if they can neglect such a user facing part of the product. Right now, I only use this app when i’ve got no choice, sending money takes too many steps, checking card details even more steps. Now they say I need a separate card app. Man, Please fix this Providus

Please improve your app
I’ve been banking with Providus since 2017, so this feedback comes from years of genuinely using and appreciating the platform. Over the years, the app has looked more modern visually, but from a user experience standpoint, there haven’t been enough practical improvements that make daily banking easier and faster.
Newer fintech platforms like OPay and Moniepoint have raised the standard for usability, and many of the features they offer now feel like basic expectations for any modern banking app. Features such as searchable transaction history, quick access to recent beneficiaries, repeating previous transfers with edited amounts, scrollable monthly transaction history going far back, smart account number recognition/autocomplete while typing, and generally smoother transaction workflows make a huge difference for everyday users.
I believe these are common pain points many customers may not even realize can be improved until they experience better alternatives elsewhere. One feature I genuinely appreciate is the monthly account summary email, but it would be even better to have a similar in-app financial overview and history experience.
Providus has always felt like one of the original “new generation” banks, which is why I hope the team continues to evolve the app beyond visual redesigns and focuses more on deep usability improvements. I’ve watched younger fintech companies gain significant market share by prioritizing user experience, and I believe Providus has the foundation and reputation to compete strongly if it invests more in that area.
