Typically a good experience
Update: the mobile app is back up, but the interface is not as friendly as it used to be. I can’t tell which recipes are gluten-free unless I open each one. Pain!
Their mobile app, was down for weeks. I had to use the website which is not nearly as user-friendly.
Purple carrot is the best option if you’re looking for a vegan meal delivery service. Many delicious recipes to choose from. Occasionally, I will get ingredients that are not very fresh - bad lettuce or soft vegetables or slimy fresh spices - or they send a very small portion (the other day I received five little potatoes rather than the 11 it showed in the picture). As a fairly new vegan, I’ve enjoyed learning how to create new recipes and cook things that I never would have considered. Delivery has been reliable and good. They offer meal kits, premade meals, and groceries. it’s a great place to get some unexpected vegan ingredients and snacks. Their queso is the best I found, and we love the Tuscan sandwich meat.

App not working for a week??
Really disappointed that an app update on Mar 18 broke authentication, seems like they published the dev build instead of the prod build and haven't even noticed or notified users when it will be fixed. We're long time Purple Carrot subscribers but there has been corner-cutting with ingredients: some no longer included, occasionally missing ingredients, and weeks of service unilaterally cancelled on us without a retry whenever a payment card has a momentary decline. Other services will just retry the payment the next day.

Fixed App, Thanks PC!!
Updating my review now that the app is fixed. I’ve been using Purple Carrot for 4-5 years & I love it. I got it at first to learn to be a better cook & to eat healthier. It is awesome & the app is great too, would recommend both!!
App Isn’t Showing All Meal Kits
I’m now able to sign in again on the app, but some of the meal kits are missing. Example: week of 5/2, filtered by gluten free selections. Website shows 16 meal kits, app shows 12. It looks like the last row of 4 showing on the website are missing in the app. I didn’t look to see if other items are missing, I’m only looking at meal kits.
