great for new drivers

This is such a good app, it allows u to get points which u can redeem for a wide variety of vouchers. I tend to use it for the sainsburys fuel as if i save for a month and get a gold score each week i can earn almost £10 to reduce the cost of petrol. It can be a bit temperamental however the perks outweigh this, just drive safe and u have nothing to worry about!

Usage

If I could give no stars I would I’ve recently got my black box (2 days in) and I’ve been flagged multiple times of poor usage I looked it up and apparently this is due to pulling away or breaking harshly so I went on a small drive to see if it was my fault and I’m confident to say that it’s not I pulled away very slowly and made sure to break slowly but I still got marked 42 out of 100 at the start of the day I was at 100% overall driving score and down to 50% this is not on and is clearly down to poor technology not my driving please contact me so this issue can be resolved

Poor service

Very bad experience with Quote Me Happy. Their black box/tracking device is unreliable and does not properly record journeys. Even though my trips were showing on the app, I still received warnings saying no journeys had been recorded and that my policy could be cancelled.

Instead of fixing the issue, they blamed me for something caused by their own faulty system. On top of that, they charged cancellation fees which I believe was completely unfair.

Customer service was not helpful and the whole experience was stressful. I would not recommend Quote Me Happy to anyone looking for reliable car insurance.

Rating System Unfair

It seems like the app would rather I crashed than make an emergency stop. When other drivers pull out in front of me without looking, I obviously have to break to avoid crashing. So why am I getting a very low rating for that? Also when I am parked and go on my phone to put in my destination on maps, it flags me up for “distracted driving”.

Edit: even when I don’t break harshly at all it still flags up for breaking. Genuinely went for a short drive trying to score 100 and thought I had done perfectly with no harsh breaking or speeding and still I scored badly

Awful

I’ve been cut in front of multiple times the past couple of days and I’ve been tagged for “braking” multiple times in the same location however what else am I meant to do , am I expected to crash into them or swerve into oncoming traffic, it’s one thing to be told once per incident however like I said before in this instance I’ve been tagged twice in the exact same place as a taxi didn’t indicate and swung out in front of me , oh and don’t bother checking your phone in a car park to see if the Bluetooth is connected as you’ll be marked for “distracted driving” and your score will be effected 🤦‍♂️
