Not great for foreign cell service

We used Reby in Florence, Italy and had a frustrating time ending our trips, therefore we paid more than necessary for every trip taken.

As a foreign visitor, our cell service was fast enough to start the trip, but not fast enough to end it as you have to take and upload a photo of the parked scooter in one of their designated parking spots.

We learned that we needed to find a place with wifi (next to the scooter) in order to upload the photo, which added about 10-15 minutes to the end of our trips. In total we paid about €50 between the two of us for two days. I wish you could’ve seen us RUNNING to our hotel wifi at the end of the day to upload a freaking photo of a scooter before it timed out.

The scooters themselves were good when they worked. I unlocked one that would not move at all but charged me €2 anyway. There are zones that slow you down automatically which we didn’t realize until later. We just thought our scooters were broken.

The chat feature in the app was really nice but their suggestion to “turn off the internet and turn it back on again” was not helpful.

First & Worst Experience!! ❌

My experience from Florence, Italy - I scanned the barcode and it immediately started the trip- no confirmation asked, no information provided, nothing!!! Fine, now that the trip was started, I went on my way which was 4 minutes of ride and decided to park where I wanted to go- turns out I cannot park anywhere and there are designated zones for parking. So, I go to the designated parking zone, park the scooter, hit 'finish trip' - it asked to take photo of the parked scooter. I took the photo, try to upload it- it gave me error after error for 13 minutes after that. It would not end the trip no matter how I took the photo and tried to upload. Eventually I had to make an International call to the service center who were able to end the ride for me. They said they would refund the money for the 13 minutes I wasted, but in the only refunded me in app credit (like why would I use an app that poorly built)! I forced them to refund on my credit card and they laughed at me and said it would take 5-7 business days!!

Inferior App, Service and Support

I signed up with a referral code. I had weak internet signal. I unlocked a unit and moved it three inches. The app only allowed me to unlock one unit and I needed a second for a friend with no internet. I hit finish and it just froze there’s cancelled and hit finish again and it succeeded at a little over 1.5 minutes.I was on the chat with support for over 10 minutes and it just took forever for them to respond. Be sure you are actually going to use the service because purchases are not refundable.

Outside of bcn, does not work well, many broken vehicles

In zones outside of the main barcelona city the vehicles are usually broken or missing helmets, etc. There has been a broken reby scooter in my neighborhood for over a month and no one fixes it for example.
