Bridgeton nj Rent a Center is trash

I bought a phone from them four years ago, the battery exploded after about two months of having it and when I went to them about it they told me I was pretty much beat. I paid out of pocket to get the phone replaced from Apple and the manager at rent a center said they would handle the contract because I wasn’t paying for a phone I didn’t even have anymore. They wrote the contract off and now it’s been four years I haven’t been able to rent from Rent a Center because my account is blacklisted from that write off.
