Can’t buy ticket
Response from developer
Hello, The RideMETRO app doesn't have the option to purchase mobile tickets. Please download the METRO Q Mobile Ticketing app from the Apple App Store in order to purchase and use tickets. You can learn more by visiting our website at: www.ridemetro.org/riding-metro/apps/q-mobile-ticketing-app Thank you for choosing METRO.

Absolute Garbage
Useless
Response from developer
Hello, thank you for bringing this our attention. We're looking into why you're experiencing this issue and hope to have this resolved as quickly as possible.
Do not download!!!

Hi David, you can receive real-time updates via text by texting your stop ID followed by a space and the route number to 697433. The RideMETRO app also walks you through this process. If you'd like to track the bus or train on a live interactive map, you can download the METRO TRIP app from the Google Play or Apple App Store. You can find more information about METRO's apps and capabilities on our website: www.ridemetro.org/riding-metro/apps/overview. Thank you for choosing METRO.
Doesn’t work
2. So I tried to view schedules:
I get a menu asking me what bus I will be riding. No map. No route. Just a list of bus numbers. So, i had to find my bus number somewhere else.
Ok…
So I figured out i’m the 217 park and ride. I click my day and direction. And click schedule. I get a list of times. It doesn’t say departure time, but that is presumably what it is. And it doesn’t provide arrival times.
I never found an arrival time. I stopped looking.
So questions
1. Why does the planner fail to show a basic heavily-used route on the schedule?
2. Why doesn’t the option schedule offer a link to a schedule table?
Anyway, this didn’t work for me. I’m not going to spend endless (and frustrating) time trying to understand it to make it work for me. I still don’t know the schedules. And I think I better drive.

Hello and thank you for your comment. Please ensure that the latest version of the app is installed on your phone as the trip planner was recently updated to provide better results. We’ll also consider your additional feedback for future enhancements to the app. Thank you for riding METRO.
You need 3 apps to accomplish less than nothing
It’s as if the Amazon app showed you their inventory but that was it. If you wanted more information you’d have to already know the UPC code for the item (oh but you’d need another app for that). Then if you wanted to buy the thing you’d have to download another app.

Hello. The specific technology associated with the two other apps (one being a trip planning app and the other an e-commerce app) are uniquely different and provided by separate vendors. Neither of those apps was developed by METRO. We've set up the RideMETRO app so that once those other apps are downloaded - a one-time process that takes about a minute or two - you can use the RideMETRO app to access either of those platforms with one click, originating from a single, consolidated menu in the same app. Thank you for your comment and thank you for riding METRO.
New Schedules effective 01-22-2023

These schedules may not have been available for a brief time when certain routes weren't running after COVID began. They've been available ever since. Thanks for riding METRO.
Useless

2BAD-TO-USE - when you open the app, there's a Schedules option along the bottom menu. Please tap on that. It will bring up a screen that allows you to select your route. The next screen will then ask you to select the day you're traveling, the direction of your trip and your stop. You can then view the schedule for your specific stop, going in your intended direction on that day, on that route. Please let us know if you continue to experience issues and we'd be happy to try and assist. Thanks for riding METRO.

Mstephb - thank you for your comment. The RideMETRO app was structured so that customers can conduct a variety of different activities in one app. Directly in the app, you can learn how to ride, plan your trip, track your bus, view route schedules, see current service alerts, contact METRO police and submit a comment or suggestion. With a prior download of the Q Ticketing app, the RideMETRO app connects you to mobile ticket purchases in one tap from the "Pay Your Fare" section. Because a variety of different features are required to make your trip as smooth as possible, the RideMETRO app brings this functionality together in one app so you don't need to toggle between apps in order to access these critical rider tools. We hope that explains the purpose of the app and how to best make use of it. If you have further questions or comments, please don't hesitate to contact our Customer Service team at 713-635-4000. They're available seven days a week, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Thank you for riding METRO.
