This App got me fined!! Beware
I’ve been using RingGo for quite some time and usually have no problems.
But RingGo really screwed me over recently. I was in the Islington area, I used RingGo to help me find parking, I click on the “directions” button in the app to help me navigate to the RingGo parking location. I pay for parking and everything seems fine.
A month later, I receive a £240 PCN saying I drove through a restricted area!! I’m incredibly angry because if it weren’t for the app telling me where to go, I wouldn’t have driven through this area in the first place! RingGo is refusing to compensate me both for the parking fee I paid and for the penalty charge notice so now I have to pay £250 for RingGos fault. I will be escalating this further as this is incredibly unfair. The app shouldn’t let you drive through a restricted zone so I feel really screwed over and it’s left me feeling very depressed. Please be careful

Ringo is easy to use and is an efficient way of parking. Highly recommend using it.
Let foreigners make accounts if your in a tourist destination
You can’t make an account with an international number. Also calling in the system doesn’t pick up your voice.

Double Hidden Fees
My Original: They used to have just a 10p service fee, they have now added a mandatory 15p SMS booking confirmation fee. They then have an optional fee for a reminder SMS. The 25p mandatory additional fees means this is just ripping you off more. The 10p service fee was acceptable, the booking confirmation I do not need is pure extortion. Local councils should bin Ring Go as quick as possible.

A convenience fee is sometimes applied for the added benefits of cashless parking, such as extending your session remotely. The SMS confirmation fee is optional, and you can manage or opt out of these notifications in your account settings. For more details on why these charges appear and how to adjust your SMS preferences,"
My Update: I have found the setting that they have added since the update. You can disable it but it’s enabled automatically and can’t be turned off at the payment stage. My point still stands as they’ve added this in as a way of boosting revenue and many people will just accept it. This underhand change should be illegal and should have never been allowed.

Absolutely brilliant app! As a new driver, parking around London can feel confusing and stressful, especially in congested areas. This app makes everything feel simple and easy to understand. Honestly, it’s been a god send for me. you’re doing a fantastic job!
Very useless
The most useless parking app in the world. I’ve been trying to sort out parking for more than 1 hour. No luck. Nothing work. Phone calls not accepting my car colour, app not sending me code to login. Avoid this parking app by all means’s

Had to pay for parking at London Heathrow and the app does not allow a foreign number to be registered. At an airport. Where you’d normally expect a decent number of foreign visitors who probably have foreign phones rather than UK ones. Nothing short of a con.
Regarding the reply - I’d appreciate not being treated like an idiot. I tried multiple times using the correct international code and I received neither an sms or an email to allow me to set up an account. No information at the parking site to indicate any other way to pay.

Useless
Typical small minded UK company - can’t register an account with a non UK mobile number. Makes parking for tourists or overseas visitors impossible
Didn’t work
Attempted multiple times with multiple people in my party to create an account. Confirmation message wouldn’t ever send. Was unable to pay to park. Extremely frustrating experience

Worst app ever. Changes my phone number when going from registration screen to confirmation screen so clearly wasn’t able to register. And the help number can’t be dialed either.
Only works with UK mobile number
It doesn’t work even if including “+” and country code in the mobile phone number.
Doesn’t work for non-uk
Why is it that every other country in Europe is able to produce a system that works with non-local numbers, but RingGo cannot, despite years of complaints. Claims that you need to enter the correct country code or call the their phone number are simply false. They don’t work either, including the phone number listed as their own help line.
And no, despite what the developer claims, it doesn’t work to enter the international dialing code. I tried 001, 1, and +1. None work. I have 17 parking apps on my phone for countries all over the world. They all work fine. RingGo does not.

Payment not sent to parking provider
Last week I received a penalty notice of not paying the parking fee though i paid it and got receipt through the ringo app. It seems Ring go and parking providers are not connected well. Now i am in the stress of appealing and waiting. Location: Mansfield street parking

This app used to be fine but now it constantly logs you out. Then it tells you to log back in and when you do it says to log back in. Useless!

Completely usless
Impossible to register. Filled in email, phone and password, sent me a code via text, enter the code, gives a none useful error. Lets you do the text 3 times, 3 errors, completely impossible to register, completely useless.
