Removed ability to take a screen shot in the app

I have a fair number of investment apps. Once a month I take screen shots of all my balances and upload them to my AI investment tool. This is no longer possible with the Royal London app.

The Boss

I like the fact that you use the Boss to symbolise that we are owned by you. The app is so neat and easy to use. Well done designers. If the concern is that the use of the term Boss is deemed hierarchical then use say Stakeholder instead? Personally, I like it as makes me feel valued.

Pension

Excellent

Get rid of ‘Boss’ and bring back screenshots

The ‘Boss’ intro is gimmicky and not suited to a serious finance app.
Screenshot function has gone so I now have to write things down. That’s not progress. At least make that function user choice.

Very poor customer information

The customer app is very poor - it didn’t show you graphs on past performance - only a daily value and a total of profit or loss - other providers - such as true potential have a fabulous app where you can see clearly growth - dips, highs etc since inception - they need to look at doing something similar

Good, but…

Nice app to work with but, as said by many people have referred to, PLEASE stop calling me boss. I understand it’s to bring it in line with your adverts, but it sounds very unprofessional.
Also, it would be better if you didn’t have to log in first BEFORE finding out you are maintaining the site/app and, why is this always on a Saturday morning when I go to check it. They are my only two issues.

Cannot see all of my plans

I have 4 pension plans with Royal London but can now only see 1 on the App. Up until a few months ago the App provided details of all 4. I have called and spoken about this to your team but still not resolved. Poor service and is encouraging me to consider moving by pensions to another provider.

I'm not a 'BOSS'!

The mechanics of the app are fine but who's stupid marketing.decision was it to change the home page with calling me your 'Boss' It rankles me and sounds condescending. If you call me anything you should use "Mr <surname>". or just revert to how it was before. Looks very unprofessional at the moment

Poor service and communication

I transferred £10k into an existing pensions plan with Royal London before the end of the tax year for tax efficiency reasons. It took nearly a month for RL to apply the investment to my account and it still shows as starting on 27/4 meaning that I cannot reclaim tax from Inland Revenue. I have asked my Financial Adviser to intervene and RL have told him they are aware, the notes on the system are clear, but still it is not remedied. I have had no direct communication from RL and when I did try to complain, te new business team contacted me to open a new account! Unacceptable!

Easy to talk

Royal London is easy to use and any information either online or telephone the staff are really helpful.Thank you.

Great growth in my pension fund

Royal London provide all the tools that enable to track and understand the progress of my pension funds , and have experienced super growth.

Not user friendly

Very clunky. Doesn’t provide all the information you want at your finger tips. Constantly unable to access because it is offline.

App

slow and often unavailable

Steve

Fantastic overall

I don’t like you because….

In my career in Financial Services, I had an issue with ONE institution - Royal London. Around 2006/2007 I gave you a 1 week trial of a data service that I was selling at the time - you downloaded pretty much the whole database and then told me that you wouldn’t be subscribing! I have disliked you ever since.

I also HATE this new thing on your app where you’re calling me Boss - makes me feel like an Albanian drug dealer. PLUS I can no longer screen shot my plan summary numbers as before.

Dreadful Patronising Greeting

Whoever had the idea to use the “You’re The Boss” & “Hi Boss” greetings in the app, needs to have a word with themselves, (or anyone else), in my opinion. It makes the platform look as though it has no gravitas. Not what I want from and organisation, holding onto my retirement fund. If I am The Boss and everyone else with and account is The Boss, who’s making the big decisions. Please change it back.

Screen shots

Has anything changed with screenshots while in the app? Seem to get a black screen on iPhone when taking screen shots from the app. This doesn’t happen when logging into Website.

“Hi boss” is an ick

Please remove it - it’s just so cringe

Graph

The App is a much better but would like to see a graph showing how my pension has performed over time

Very Poor

No trends or charts to track performance just a value number that changes. No useful features and they think it’s funny to refer to all their users as the Boss rather than our preferred names. Out of touch and the app is way behind other financial services providers.
