RunnerStretch for runner User Reviews

Easy, clean, and simple to use.

Thanks for putting this app together!

It’s simple, clean, and EXACTLY what I was looking for - a quick and easy app to help me with post-run stretching.

Simple, straightforward, effective

This is a very simple and straightforward app for stretching exercises. And free! No registration required at all. Only a small ad banner at the bottom in main screen and that’s it. It’s just great and works as intended. I would pay or just tip the developer just because of the service this app has provided to me.

My personal feature request would be:
* Tip jar and/or remove ad with payment
* Apple Watch app
* Remove item from Warm Up/Cool Down.
* HealthKit and Fitness integration to save workouts and activity data.
* Dark mode
* Widget to start predefines warm up/cool down right from Home Screen.

Thank you for this app.

Highly recommend

Great app for pre/post run stretching. The images are helpful for learning each type of stretch, and the voice guide makes it easy to use without having to look at the screen.

Response from developer

Please upgrade the app. I have fixed the issue.

Perfect

So glad you fixed it! Best stretching app available

Audio for Apple Watch plz?

This app is awesome! Could you make the app on the Apple Watch have sound just like the one for the phone where the timer counts down and there’s a voice for each stretch along the description? For some reason there’s no audio on the watch & it seems like the visuals for stretch go by faster than on phone. Looking forward to this :)

Surprisingly Good

Simple and effective. Swapped out 2 exercises for alternative stretches (calf and glutes) as they provide a better stretch. But deserves 5* as helps me habitually stretch after running and holding the stretch which I usually skip.

Great app

A great app to make you warm down for the right amount of time rather than rushing. One additional feature for the Apple Watch would be for the watch to buzz when you need to finish one stretch and start next.

Simple stretch for running

This app is great. It’s very simple and easy to use. I’m better at remembering to stretch when I have an app telling me what to do. It has ads but not the annoying pop up kind that are so invasive you can’t use the app. My only complaint is that it doesn’t tell you how long the stretch time is. I think they’re about 5-10 minutes but it would be nice to know the total time before I start.

Apple Watch alerts

Desperately needs feedback from the watch directly! You can’t stretch and monitor the images on the watch at the same time. We need audio and/or haptic response.

Almost there

Great idea and works well. Just a few tweaks such as a longer delay in between switching sides.

I love this simple app

To understand how awesome I find this app you have to understand me.

I know I should stretch, I know how to stretch, I just don’t Because I’m lazy

I use a running app because if it says run for 20 mins I will run for 20 mins. If I go for a 20 min run on my own I run 5 walk 5 and call it a day

With this app I open it before and after a run just do what it says.

It’s just a good few basic stretches that’s it And it’s perfect

The only option I would like to see if I could choose how long to hold each stretch. Like a slider in option I can adjust the hold times for each stretch from say 30-45 seconds.

Needs audio or haptic prompts

I use this on my Apple watch before and after running. The usefulness is greatly diminished by requiring you to look at the watch all the time. Audio prompts would be ideal. Haptic would be my second choice.

Good but needs a few extra features

This review is specific to the watch app.

The idea is good but you need to add an alert/sound when the stretch is complete otherwise what is the point of the in built timer for example when you are doing a chest stretch with your hands behind your back.

It would also be good to have a setting that you have to manually touch next on the screen before proceeding to the next stretch rather than automatic as sometimes I need to get onto a mat for example hip flexor stretching.

One request

Great app just missing one key feature.

For the apple watch can you make it tap your wrist between stretches so you know when to change the stretch. Right now you have to keep waking up the watch or stare at it which is not possible with quad stretches for example.

Thank you!

So simple and effective

I was thisclose to deleting the app after looking at the exercises but I said let me try it first and I love it. I do it in the morning and not before a run, it's good to do anytime. It's simple, effective and free. Great app for a quickie!

Works great and no injury

I'm a beginner runner and decided to do pre and post warm up after previous injury, it must help because (touch wood) I haven't injured myself again since using it. It feels quite basic, but I am not that experienced either way I am pleased with it!

Best one in the App Store

It's completely free first off. It's simple to use and has audio queues to tell you what your doing next and how long and when the time is up. You literally just turn it on and it goes. You don't need to fumble with the phone in between positions. It's ad supported but the ads are so out of the way and non intrusive. It's a beautiful simple app.

Great App

Easy to use but I think needs more exercises.

Almost there

An update that gives a tap on the Apple Watch would be enormously helpful. As it is right now, there's no way to know when to transition to the next stretch unless you're staring at the screen.
