This similar to TTY without the operator third party. Mostly hearing has no patience and hang up.
Better than Captioncall
I’m hearing impaired and am so glad that I found a better app. I always did have difficulty in hearing what people are saying on the phone. Initially I was using Captioncall app and was not to pleased using it as it didn’t provide any international calls at all. I wanted to talk with my close relatives in another country and Rylo app provide free calls internationally so that made me so happy! I can finally talk with my relatives. This app is so useful and helpful for me to communicate with my friends and family. Not only that it also helps transcribe what people are saying to you when you’re having trouble hearing when going out to stores, hospitals or restaurants etc… I find that very helpful. Am so glad I found this app. Thank you for developing it.

Connection Denied to AT&T
Apparently, Rylo can’t figure out how to connect with the largest phone carrier on the planet, AT&T. Rylo has me trying to finish their program designer’s work for them. And even that is not working. This is typical when foreign companies are involved. When the name changed to Rylo, I began experiencing inconsistencies. This latest one finally finished my service with Rylo. Rylo is excluding AT&T.

Block calls
Why don’t you filter calls? I get 5-20 calls per day from scammers or telemarketers.
Also, why don’t you display the area a call is from alongside the area code?

Lifesaver(please add mac)
Transcription on captioned phone calls seems to work decently most of the time. But transcription for voicemails is never accurate for some reason. Please add a mac app for Rylo too.
Surprisingly Useful
My first call out was just a test to see if it would use the internet instead of my cell phone. I used my iPad which does not have cellular access but does have internet access and it worked flawlessly. I’m not deaf but even with hearing aids I need captioning when watching tv. So by chance I test called a business number from my iPad and got a robo-voice stating the different call options and the text showed up on my screen. Now this is useful because by the time it gets to the end of the list I would have forgotten which option might be what I need. Now that menu is all right there.

Rylo is consumer-conscious and is working very hard to improve on application and meet their customers expectations.
Do NOT like this app
I decided I didn’t want to use this app. I did delete it, but I am now unable to receive calls. Whoever is calling me gets a recorded voice/message about Rylo and I do not know how to fix this. I am extremely disappointed and angry about this.
I really like this app
I am losing my hearing and I came across this app , I was having a hard time hearing what others were saying to me and it was very frustrating now I’m able to understand what they say because I can read it while there talking to me on the phone, thank you for making me feel better about my hearing problem.

Caption Call Now Is Rylo
The conv-scriber addition with one pull-down doesn't distinguish speakers. It stays a boring notepad until live chats come in at least two colors on both sides. Multiple speakers need more colors for easy distinction.
Confusing and frustrating
I’m about to delete this program. The most frustrating app I’ve ever had to deal with. Every time I try to answer the phone with Rylo, the call drops. I have lost multiple calls this way. When I try to call the party back, I am placed on hold and do not get a real person. The directions are impossible to find. Trying to find voicemail is a futile experience. Poorly designed app, especially for the elderly. Negative reviews do not appear.

Life saving app
I love Rylo. At 70 years old my memory isn’t the greatest. When needing to remember dates and schedules all I have to do is go back to a particular call and there is the info I need. This app is a blessing!

This app is easy to use and works very well. It punctuates text accurately so that I can tell where one sentence ends and the next starts, which makes it very readable!

The captioning is often inaccurate so it is difficult to understand and respond to what is really being said. It is frustrating
