App doesn’t work
This app keeps pushing updates but it has given an “unauthorized” error messages on any pf the subscription pages for many months now.
App needs help
The app has been non-functional for months now with no updates. You can’t log in/out or make changes to your plan or even see anything about your plan. Sakara itself is great but not sure why it’s harder and harder to be a customer. Extras that used to be included with every order (detox tea and probiotics) apparently now have to be ordered specially (but good luck getting anywhere near using the app to do this). And you still cannot combine any mix of breakfast, lunch, or dinner rather than one, the other, or all for any week or part of the week. You also can’t use points earned through buying meals towards a discount on the meals. You have to get their other products, which I’m not really interested in. Hopefully these issues get sorted out. If the goal is to save money, losing the customer base through cost-cutting efforts isn’t going to get you there. One way might be to sent 5 days of breakfasts in one box rather than sending such tiny items that last a week in two separate deliveries, etc. I used to buy at least 3-5 days EVERY week, often for 2 meals a day, but now I buy only occasionally and use other services instead.

Used it for years… the tech and consistency just gets worse…
The food and supplements are great… that’s assuming they’re in stock (so many supply issues the past year) and that the app actually works for you to buy them.
Sakara has started to gone downhill quality wise.
Portions are much smaller than before. One dish had undercooked beans that almost sent me to the ER.
Also, those awful refrigerator packs they now use are BOT reusable or recyclable. I used to reuse the plastic ones dozens of times until they broke. The paper ones break right away. Sometimes in the shipping box. I had a mess once.
I do hope that they pay attention to these reviews. I believe in the company and really want it to succeed. I will give them one last chance. I ordered a week of Level II detox. If it's good, I will update my review.
My original dream prior to the quality issues was to be able to have 2 weeks of Sakara every month! 🙂

Incredibly disappointed
I have been a loyal customer of Sakara Life for over 7 years, particularly invested in the Metabolism powder. It began with top quality clinical grade ingredients formulated by scientists and tasted like a molten cacao drink fit for the gods. Unfortunately, the subscription price has been reduced alongside the ingredients and recipe, the last straw being the “new formula” recently rolled out in the new 9.7oz package. Monthly subscription price is $76 and used to provide the consumer with 20oz of coffee-replacing goodness. Now that is all long gone, shipped in a cardboard box that is 5 times the size of the bag, presumably to elicit excitement but realistically accompanied by a heavy heart once one discovers the cardboard flavor has become the entire cup of cocoa.

Impossibly bad app
Given that the price point of their food, Sakara should spend some money to make the app usable. Trying to pause weeks or redeem awards points is virtually impossible. Of course, buying things is a snap.

Sakara has been one of my favorite tools in my tool box love having easy healthy meals ready and obsessed with the supplements fiber powder has been a game changer for me. The app is a little tricky sometimes but hopefully they will get it fixed soon
Great food, awful customer service
I’ve tried Sakara off and on for years and the food is great and healthy (although a bit pricey). The issue is their utter lack of customer service/addressing customer pain points. The delivery window is 12am - 6am, with no tracking of the delivery, which works if the delivery arrives at midnight but is miserable
if you’re sitting around at 2am waiting for your food (since just leaving the box outside your building more often than not leads to the box being stolen). Every other meal delivery company (cookunity, thistle, nutre etc.) can figure this out and it’s crazy that Sakara, which is the priciest by far, has gotten this feedback for years and can’t make a change for their customers. Ultimately, I had to cancel.
PS - it’s extra crazy given that sleep is just as important as nutrition and waiting up for my Sakara deliveries totally messed with my sleep schedule!

Frustrating!!
This app crashes and is not user friendly. I’ve been trying for days to purchase a one time lunch 20 day program and the total is double what it should be. In fact I tried just adding a two day program and every time the cost is $1276. I’ve contacted Sakara several times with no resolution. My friends have the same issue and have been contacting them. I guess they don’t want our money. They have to be getting complaints about this 🤷🏻♀️

Love the program, hate the technology
The app, the checkout process, managing subscriptions, basically anything that involves technology is appalling with Sakara. It’s really a shame because the lack of user experience and investment in technology has resulted in me cutting way back on my purchases.
Confused about the good app reviews
Sakara might be great as a company and a meal service, but this app is horrendous. It barely loads anything and is super slow and glitchy. And half the features are not even on here. Not really worth getting the app IMO unless they make some serious upgrades - I end up having to just do everything on the desktop website, so I deleted the app off my phone.

Love Sakara but the app needs work

1/the app freezes and says “no response”
2/there is no way to access or use your points
3/the order history won’t load
Quite honestly this is one of the worst apps I’ve seen. Over the two years I’ve used Sakara the app has not improved…

The app makes me love Sakara even more!
The app makes it so easy to navigate and choose my meals each week. I’ve been eating Sakara meals for the last 60 days and feel AMAZING. My diet is mainly paleo because I’m celiac so this helps me get in all of my daily greens on top of my protein needs. Also obsessed with the green smoothies!
The best app!
Sakara app is so easy to check the menu and make any changes and adjustments on my subscriptions! It really just takes 1 click !
IOS Sakara app is just awful!!
I am speechless. I just downloaded a more recent version of the Sakara App and it is even worse than before. It opens to a Welcome page with your name and Rewards points. But there is no way to get to your Rewards or even use them on a Meal plan, or anything else.
And I finally figured out that the Shopping Bag icon is not your shopping bag. It takes you to where you can shop Sakara. But the prices are completely wrong. A 5 day Lunch Only meal subscription costs $145 on the website and $265 in the App! I honestly feel that you should just get rid of this app. It is worthless. (I have done software development for decades. No idea how you could have released this app. Obviously not tested.)

Love at first bite
I have been using Sakara for almost two years. This program is the reason I am able to
eat healthy every day. I used to buy fresh veggies and end up Throwing them away because I would not have time to prep them. These meals can be taken to work or anywhere that I am. It is a gift to myself to eat these meals.

Would be helpful if it worked
iPhone app. Put me in a sign in loop. Have deleted app and reloaded regenerated pw several time. No results
Good food, easy app
The app is easy to use, and I am super impressed with how good the food is- would highly recommend!
Cancellation
The app is great unless you want to cancel your subscription. It does not work. Use the desktop website to do this!
