Miss the magnet
Doesn’t scan QR code, no way to report anything from the app, unsure if filter is good. Bring back the simple magnetic strip and save everyone 30 minutes tinkering with their camera.

Not compatible with iPhone 17 Pro or iPad Pro
To get this app to work, I had to install it on my wife's iPhone 11. I understand Samsung's lack of excitement to support Apple's ecosystem, but people with recent Apple hardware still count on their genuine filters.
Cannot focus
The app will not use the iPhone’s camera properly to focus as close as the app requires. IPhone’s need portrait/flower mode to focus properly from 3-4 inches away. Samsung app will only use standard camera settings an fails to focus on QR from distance it requires.
Complete Garbage
First, like other reviewers mentioned, this has nothing to do with filter installation instructions which is what I really needed. Install an app on your device for no other reason than checking if the filter is authentic Samsung. HARD PASS! I buy a filter in Home Depot that is marked as a Samsung product, it sure as heck better be a Samsung product. Second, the app DOESN’T EVEN WORK!! I tried 6 times, lining up the code inside the little square PERFECTLY and it will never read the code! Save yourself the wasted time and effort.

Never been able to scan. One star is way too much
Can’t get a scan. No way to report.
Can’t get a scan. It seems to want a very precise and steady scan within the box. In order to get a focused image, I had to scan from a bit of a distance and zoom in. Even so, it always just times out. It then says to report a counterfeit filter using the report button if you can’t get a scan. But there is no report button. So do I have a counterfeit filter, or does this app just not work?

Expensive Hot Dog
This app does not work. It just sits there staring at the barcode, sucking in my location information, until it times out. I decided to check myself so I opened the filter and inside I found a hot dog. Now it makes sense why the app won’t verify the filter. So in summary; fake app, fake filter, but real hot dog.

Camera doesn’t focus.
Why?
First of all I was only looking for installation instructions for my refrigerator filter and it has me download an app. The scanner won’t function as it only gives you a small area to scan. Then I realize the app is to authenticate then filter. Why I have to authenticate a filter that was sent to me directly from Samsung is beyond me. Couldn’t get it to work. Never got the instructions on how to properly install the filter. Don’t download this app. It’s useless and definitely not needed.

Dumb, useless app
I have no idea why I need to install an app that I use twice a year. Who knows if it even works since there isn’t a “success” screen. When I have to ask ChatGPT to interpret the results, your app kind of stinks. The magnetic strip was so much easier. Samsung, you can do better.

I had same trouble like everyone else. App won’t scan the QR code. If I can give it lower rating I would. They need to go back to magnetic strips.
